*Not attempting to rank every team, only the ones we discuss on this site.

*Tiers based on how teams are playing today.  Not based on week 1 games etc.

*Tier 1 teams can compete with any other Tier 1teams and possibly win 1+ of 10

*Basically there is a -10 point drop between tiers.  Could vary from 7 to 21 depending on the styles of teams playing.

*Texas teams generally have not played enough OOS games to gauge properly #crapshoot

*Tiers are based on exhaustive research, Multiple games watched, and good gut feelings.

*This is a crowd sourced rating. All input will be considered and adjustments will be made as appropriate

Borderline. But if you watched the game, SJB has the ability to actually beat MD if they get a few breaks

SJB got moved up this week from tier 2 to tier 1.  Due to the offense coming to life with the new QB

Radio the question is, could any tier 2 team have the ability to beat tier 1 teams if they got a few breaks... Or tier 3 to tier 2

The odds of a tier 2 team beating a tier 1 team are about 1 in 20.

The odds of a tier 3 team beating a tier 2 team would be 1 in 5

Basically Tier 1 is Super Elite.  The other tiers are closer in skill level, hence the more movement between tiers

Of course, they're from Cali!!! NO team should move up a Tier following a loss. Totally unacceptable.

Remember, they lost to STA, who lost to Cen10 AZ. That fact can never be ignored.

Yes.  I'm ignoring that.

unlike you, I watched SJB play both STA and MD.  Much improved offensively due to different QB.  No denying that.

SJB would be a legit threat to beat any team in tier 1

plus you never Daisy chain NJ cuz you say "anything can happen"

Make up your mind

9 of the 11 drives were 3 and outs.   It was was Bosco's 1st game and their OFFENSIVE rhythm was truly off.Just couldn't convert in the red zone.

They win 8 of 10 if they played now

Sammy, with 8 weeks down how about doing a tier ranking of state based on over all quality of teams?

IMG and Mater Dei I'd have alone as tier 1.

Sammy what exactly are you seeing "this year" with Desoto?   I'm trying to follow why they are in the top 25 and you've got them top 10 basically.

Well, what are you seeing in Desoto for them to not be tier 2 or for them to be singled out?
