RedZone
The Citrus has a little bit better payout than the ReliaQuest Bowl (old Outback)...both are considered high quality bowl games with nice payouts though. Both are January 1 Bowls. Teams? Not much difference between Wisconsin and Iowa in the big picture. I never saw LSU projected to the Citrus Bowl anyways. LSU is better and ranked higher than Tennessee. I think they should’ve gone to the higher paying Citrus Bowl. UT was about as good as I thought they would be this year…a top 20-30ish type team. Were way overrated at the beginning.
RedZone
Maybe this will answer some questions. It's really not that big of a deal anyways. It would have been LSU's third recent trip to Orlando. LSU was placed in Tampa because LSU played in Orlando for last year’s Citrus and this year’s opener. Bowls are about tickets sold and tourism, too. Selling LSU fans on a third football trip to Orlando in 365 days is tough. Tampa gives you a Saints/LSU doubleheader on back-to-back days, if you’re inclined, though the Saints aren’t worth watching right now. reggid
Both LSU and Tennessee still blow.
