I am moving slower since I received my Medicare card last week. With that being said, I think one of the things that you have to be wary of when compiling these things are "knee jerk" reactions to one game. For instance, I thought I was a bit tough on St. Ignatius this week after their loss to Moeller. They had played a tough schedule and handled it well until last Saturday. However, the loss margin and the fact that this is not a great Moeller team led me to drop them into the 80 range.
1DayPGA
Good list whiteshoes, but I think SJB is a little too high. I 'd have them around 8-10 tied with Corona and BG just behind them.

Of course I say this and they will drop 1 this week but they way they are running through the MIC right now is extremely impressive.

Nope it's good how it is in those rankings. Gorman always reaches out to play and beat the best teams in the country. They always earn their national ranking and are firmly established in the 2017 top ten. The Centennial pups have inherited their most recent rankings in the last few years. And coast in the top ten while playing a bunch of crappy teams from the big 8 league.

BG s/b about 10 in the rankings they are 2-2 against OOS this year and the win against Dematha is not as impressive as it was back in August. Dematha is 4-3 and stands a good chance to be 4-4 when they play SJC's this week.

HOW in the names of Knute Rockne/Paul Brown, can you have Grayson above our neighbors at Lowndes, and WAAAAY above those dastardly Archers from Tiger Town? They DID at last viewing, whup dat ass last week! Jist one a dem thangs that make ya wanna go HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! And this is REALLY gonna hurt to defend these bush league clowns BUT! How is it that Buford rates only #79, when they lost by a MERE touchdown to #13 South Pointe? And what's with St. Francis Academy being #20, after their PAAAATHETIC, 3-0 showing against our buds at BS? Lest we NOT fergit, Caulquitt 38 BS 7! And I'll not even dignify commenting on the absurdity of TWO LOWER BUSH LEAGUER'S, Cartersville and Rome, being in the top 100 of ANYTHING! Other than THOSE insanity's and a course, your OBVIOUS bias toward the Catholic Church, I kin live with your offering! OK, let me address these as best I can. I still think Grayson is the best team in Georgia. As you stated, the Archers from Tiger Town "whup that ass" last week but the feeling here is they could only do that 2-3 times in 10 attempts. The Buford-South Pointe game was at Buford and as tight as these rankings are, there is probably a touchdown difference between #13 and #79. However, South Pointe has most likely peaked and now seems to be what our ol' buddy DJ called a bouy, standing still while others pass them by. As far as St. Frances Academy is concerned, I have really been impressed with their play this season. Yeah the Bishop Sullivan game probably was not their best effort, but I could probably pick out a "sour" game for every team in my poll. I watched Catersville play last season and I don't care what class they are in, that is one good football team. Finally, no Catholic bias, it is what it is. Right now they have some of the premier programs in the country.

Dematha is 4-3 and stands a good chance to be 4-4 when they play SJC's this week. That's about where I had them last week until losses by teams in front of them. In addition, I believe some of their earlier struggles were a direct result of players lost from last season. I was in attendance for the De LaSalle game and that was boys vs. men. The only issue with them is that they will not be tested the remainder in the season and unless someone behind them really plays well and leaps over them, they will most likely end up as a Top 10 team, which they should be. 1

In my eyes BG ended their season at 2-2 since you shouldn't count any games against the rest of NV. So I agree where BG ends up will be based on how the other teams finish their season. I think a top 10 ranking for a 2 loss team that has really played only four good opponents is more than generous. And those 2 OOS wins may not look so good by year end. I think Dematha will have their 4th loss this weekend and DLS will probably get taken out behind the woodshed if they make it to state. Regarding the DLS vs BG, the Spartans played them tough in the 1st and most of the 3rd qtr the rest was not much of a game.

We were sitting next to Adam Plant Jr's parents when he recovered it and ran it in. I feel that they will be a better team at year end, despite all the blowouts, than they were at the start of the season.

Equally balanced in their passing and running game. And their defense was also good. I would rank Gorman's 4 OOS opponents like this 1) Mater Dei 2) Miami Central 3) DeMatha 4) Dls 5-10) The Nevada teams in Gorman's league are just your typical high school teams that you find through out America. Filled with kids who just love to play the game. The Stags did have two big injuries in that game vs Gorman and I'm not sure if they have had more injuries since then. Maybe Mailbu Nick can give us an update on DeMatha?

True. It also would have been nice to have DTR play as a QB last year. At least for a few series vs the big OOS teams that Gorman played. IMO that would have better prepared him for the big games that he started this year.

I suppose then, according to him, that Archer would crush Colquitt by 25 points! I mean Archer bear Brookwood by 8 and Brookwood beat Colquitt by 17. Makes sense, right?

Rufus69
Not a bad poll. The two things I would argue are... (1) Colquitt is probably not a Top 100 team. If they are...it's extremely marginal. (2) Lowndes would stomp a mudhole in the majority of teams you have listed above them. A MUDHOLE !!! Other than that....GOOD job. I agree Dematha was good in August but where they are now and where they end up is the question. The Stags may end up with 5 losses if they lose this weekend and in the playoffs. BG not having a good league or strong playoff also effects SOS. When you have other teams around the country that have 14 or 15 wins and no losses it's going to be hard to justify a 2 loss team ahead of them. I know SJB has 2 losses but their league and playoffs are so strong if they roll thru the rest of the season and playoffs it helps to offset that.
