NorCalRuss
Actually California also has laws on it and they’re making huge bust daily. LOT of murders in California over weed. Aren't there still "dry" counties in the US where the sale of alcohol is prohibited? Similar type of regional laws, to a degree. I'd think. 11 hours ago, NorCalRuss said: Actually California also has laws on it and they’re making huge bust daily. LOT of murders in California over weed. Weed is a huge violent crime issue in California. The criminal element that came to Colorado when weed was legalized was significant, where even the cartels were sending people up here to try to get into the industry. Their in-fighting was violent, but the crack-down on them by law enforcement has been very positive, and the element is not nearly as visible in the news (or on the streets, according to my LE friends). A danger has been people in suburban neighborhoods buying or renting a house to use as an illegal "grow", not knowing what they are doing, and blowing the house to smithereens. 5 hours ago, ORabidOne said: Because this NEW shit will ROT YOUR BRAIN DUMMY! Do YOU wanna be driving don't the street, and encounter someone under the influence of HIGH TEST WEED? Yes, the weed is much more potent, and as such, people don't smoke as much as they used to for a buzz. It was common 40 years ago to "smoke a bowl" or a joint or two at one sitting because the weed was less powerful. Nowadays, one (certainly for me) or two "hits" does just fine -- people ain't smoking bowls by themselves. And driving should be handled as though you been drinkin'. Unfortunately, some people drive after drinking or smoking too much. 1 hour ago, LeftOnBase said: Either that or opiates/heroin. https://www.dwiminneapolislawyer.com/driving-while-under-the-influence-of-heroin-deadly/ Ah, speaking of the sixties. Equating weed to heroin. Still quite a difference, and silly to throw out there.

One of my best friends is head of task force in Merced, Ca. Shit load of huge busts going on in farming areas and lots of cartel crime. If you do a quick search of Merced marijuana busts there’s a lot online and steady.

Trap Houses.... use to those in certain areas of Savannah... But they usually all end up the same.... Either a massive DEA Drug bust or the house gets blown up... If you see 6-8 pitch Black armored Trucks and Riot vans.... You know whats going down.... But you know when one is about to blow because you'll start crying from the scent of burning bleach and Chemical smoke....

HawgGoneIt
@maxchoboian I think it either has to be legal everywhere or illegal everywhere. If it's legal one county line away, you can never stop the people from getting it easily anyway. May as well get in on making the tax dollars from the sales rather than let the county next door do so. I see the pot issue much the same. If it's going to be readily available for legal purchase/consumption just a state or two away, you can never hope to control it in a "dry" state. May as well get in on the tax dollars from the sales. There is no correlation between Colorados crime increase and Legalization of weed... of course there are more weed related incidents... but thats to be expected... Go figure... Could be my tolerance had increased but not by much. Weed is in the whole better but top end then and now is roughly the same. But to address the OP, it makes no sense to have the laws so different from one place to the next. Aleady too many people in jail for Weed.
