Cartersville 5* QB Trevor Lawrence, rated the #1 PP QB, broke Georgias career passing yardage record tonight, a record that was held by former Gainesville/Clemson and current Houston Texan QB DeShaun Watson.

The record was 13,077 yards. Trevor Lawrence broke it on the 1st play of Cartersvilles 2nd drive of the game. Trevor Lawrence would finish 17-of-23 with 283 yards passing and 4 TDs. Cartersville beat Chapel Hill 62-0 and won their 39th game in a row. The 6th longest winning streak in the country currently. At one point in the game, Cartersville had a run of 5 TDs on just 7 plays.

Trevor Lawrence is also now 2 TDs away from breaking DeShaun Watsons career passing TD mark of 155.

Lawrence now has 13,244 passing yards with potentially 6 games left. He could set a mark in GA that may stand for a while. Although 2020 QB Harrison Bailey (Marietta HS) is looking good too.

Cartersville will close out the season vs 7-1 Troup Co. Nov. 3rd, who lost their 1st game tonight 21-18 vs Cedartown... that kinda sucks bc I was looking forward to an undefeated Troup vs Cartersville matchup. Troups QB leads GA QBs in passing yards for this season.
