HurricaneNick
100% of grown adults with real lives outside of the internet do not care about high school athletic transfers. I will make fun of the grown men that cry about high school kids transferring every time. Go Milton, seems like they really stepped it up after the 4th place trinity league squad JSerra beat them a few years back. Love to see it.

If Milton can sustain this level of interest in their program for a few years and annually field a squad with 35+ kids with D-1 offers, JSerra won't play them. 2

That would be an easy move to make it a legit transfer. Maybe a rich Milton alum owns an apartment complex in the Milton zone and only rents to families with stud football players 😝

Now if the GHSA will pay no mind to the dwindling South Georgia rednecks and them alone, Georgia might finally get around to fielding a truly elite team.

We had a 10yr span of region 1 dominating the highest class and after that the ghsa said no more and decided to let the Atlanta area teams do whatever. We had a 10yr span of region 1 dominating the highest class and after that the ghsa said no more and decided to let the Atlanta area teams do whatever. You've had decades of iffy stuff going on. You just can't stand it that the rest of the state caught on. There's all sort of transferring going on down south and always has been. Guess what? It's going to happen more and more as the population grows in the Savannah/Brunswick area due to the new manufacturing plants coming up. 25k+ new good paying jobs manufacturing jobs is going to mean an influx of families and plus all of the other jobs to support them. There's going to be a ton of housing coming on line and a new found mobility that hasn't existed before. I guessed you missed where metro Atlanta is now the 6th largest metro area in the nation. 60%+ of the state's population lives in the metro area. There's more coming, going, and moving around than the combined populations of any 2 or 3 S Ga counties and that means kids have the opportunity to move around. I'm going to laugh when the coastal counties outgrow Lowndes and regularly clean your clock. It's coming and sooner than later. It is funny you blame the GHSA since the GHSA *is* the schools and there are as many or more schools in S Ga as in the metro area. If the southern schools really wanted to change things, they could. It must not be a major priority for all of the S Ga schools.
Fred
1 hour ago, HooverOutlaw said: Problem is the GHSA has 2 sets of rules Atlanta and every other school. Funny, the GHSA is the member schools. There are more S Ga schools than metro. If they really felt there was a problem, they could have done something. Yet they haven't. I guess the people most affected by things in Georgia aren't as concerned as a wannabee expert from out of state. 1

No easier to move than for someone out of the area transferring in. A bona fide move is required whether it is from out of state or the school zone next door. You can move to rental property but your previous home must be actively on the market or closed down with a least of the critical utilities shut down.
