I AM IRONMAN
CBS carries AFC games...FOX NFC games. Why is SEATTLE /NYG on CBS? Jets /Dolphins was on earlier on FOX what gives?
Gospeeder
I noticed that as well with the Bears Panthers on CBS.

Usually I watch highlights via Redzone or NFL network. I do think the Dolphins game was on CBS down here though. So it’s a mixed salad for sure nowadays with games all over the place. golfaddict1
Bengals vs Steelers is on Fox in SoFL. Edit. My bad. CBS. Switched providers and getting used to these numbers. Scratch that.
ATLien12x
Here’s how it works. THE VISITING TEAM CARRYS THE STATION. Examples. Dolphins at falcons last week. CBS because dolphins are AFC Saints at Patriots earlier. That was on fox because Saints are NFC. Go though every nfl game. The visiting team’s affiliation will always carry that station. ATLien12x
It’s been that way FOR YEARS.

I AM IRONMAN
Right while two AFC teams played on Fox. What ATL says is true as far as affiliation...today they seemed to to do a complete reversal..twilight zone like

Pay attention more often Since 2014... but new to me as of yesterday The "cross flex" mechanism will serve a similar purpose. Select games can be flexed between CBS and FOX. In the past, a game with two NFC teams had to be on FOX and a game with two AFC teams had to be on CBS. Now, the league can theoretically move an all-NFC game to CBS or an all-AFC game to FOX in select cases. This will help balance out the television schedule, especially in a week where one network has all the most intriguing games. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000343369/article/2014-nfl-schedule-flex-games-can-now-start-in-week-

Going by that why was NYJ at Miami on Fox. NYJ is AFC should have been on CBS
legendsofthefall
This new format does kinda suck. I am an AFC guy and am used to almost all my team's games during the season being on CBS. Actually I never liked FOX for football but I got used to it. I remember the first year FOX took over the NBC contract and started carrying the NFC. I believe it was '94 or '95 and it sucked because their pregame show was too much non-football related crap. It was the way beginning of the reality TV world we live in now and what ESPN eventually turned into 2 decades later. CBS better than FOX for football coverage IMO and always has been.
