Was it a road game in Akron? The game was at Akron. Spalding has taken over as the best team in the MIAA with SFA gone, and Gilman has fallen off the cliff. Their QB, Malik Washington, is the real deal. I think he's committed to Maryland.

They were 1-8 last year including giving up 87 points in a game. Start off this year losing 47-0. How much more pain can that little church out in the middle of nowhere handle? That's another prepgridiron logistics project gone terribly wrong.

The are playing a more local schedule and will be eligible for VISAA playoffs, though it looks unlikely that they'll make it. The guy who coached them last year was trying to start a new program, not sure if it happened.

Was it a road game in Akron? Yes. Very impressive road win for Spaulding. Absolutely put it on Hoban in the first half, which I don't think the Knights were expecting. Built a 28-7 lead at half and hung on to win 28-14. No matter how much talent they have, it never ceases to amaze me how little offensive production Hoban can generate against good teams.
