Sunday's Honest To God Question About the Georgia Game

Morning Gurus......

I have a REAL question for all you serious college football followers.  It happened yesterday in the Tennessee Tech/Georgia game.  Somebody decided to knock the 4th Qtr down to 10 minutes instead of the normal 15 minutes.

I honestly did not know that was in the rules?

I understand why it was done.  I just didn't know you could do that?

I could be mistaken, but if the coaches and schools agree they can stop or shorten a college football game whenever they want.

If the opponents team is down by 4 TD's or more and both teams agree to it they can shorten the quarters. 

Auburn did it last week but I think they cut it down to 8 minutes.

You don't see it very often though.

College football. The National Collegiate Athletic Association's mercy rule provides, "Any time during the game, the playing time of any remaining period or periods and the intermission between halves may be shortened by mutual agreement of the opposing head coaches and the referee."

The fans should get an 8.3 percent refund for getting robbed out of 8.3 percent of the game they paid for.

Woodford County Kentucky played a SoCal team. And beat them. And the Cali team they beat was higher ranked in California than Woody was in Kentucky! 
 

The Kentucky team limped to a 6-4 record and lost by 50 in the 1st round of the Kentucky playoffs. 
 

The SoCal team went 11-3 and was a serious threat to win state

Let’s be clear about a few things . Warren didn’t even win a city championship let alone sniff a state championship. Even if they went to state it would have been Div 3 or 4 so they weren’t considered a threat to any of the better Cali programs. Put some context to your post so they don’t look so skewed to your narrative.
