badrouter's Very Good National Rankings (VGNR)

Many people say you can't criticize others' rankings if you don't publish your own rankings. In that spirit, I have taken the plunge and am publishing my very own Very Good rankings. I'm keeping it to ten POwer PRivates for now. Criticism from those who do not publish their own rankings is impermissible.

1. St. Frances Academy (5-0): Never mind what you read on the internet, SFA is an undefeated football team. In my imagination, the Panthers would win a best of eleven series against ALL of the teams they've faced. Their record has been corrected to reflect this.

2. Bishop Gorman (4-0): the Gaels have a road win over St. Thomas Aquinas. Additionally, in my imagination, the Gaels would win a best of seventeen series with Mater Dei, winning nine games to eight in a FANTASTIC series. Their record has been corrected to reflect this.

3. IMG (5-0): the Ascenders have fantastic facilities and can openly recruit. Because of this, I believe they would win a best of seven series with Corner Canyon. Their record has been corrected to reflect this.

4 (tie). American Heritage: the Patriots have played a very difficult schedule and have a very patriotic nickname. They are difficult to rank because I *KNOW* they would win a best of thirteen series with both Miami Central and Milton. But, I can't a good read of the chakras with Chaminade.

4 (tie). Chaminade: the Roaring Lions have superstar players like Zachary Katz and Jabari Brady, who have contributed immensely to Chaminade's season. AND, in my imagination, they would win a best of nine series with Pompano Beach Ely. But, again, I can't read my chakras when it comes to St. John Bosco.

4 (tie) St. John Bosco: the Braves have a history of strong teams, but do have the blemish with Chaminade, where the Braves were unable to convince me they could win a best of nine series with Chaminade, who may or may not be able to win a best of thirteen series with American Heritage.

7. De La Salle: the Spartans are undefeated, AND their annual hyper-improvement has not even taken hold yet.

8. Orange Lutheran.

9. J Serra

10. Santa Margarita.

Honorable Mention:

Mater Dei, Bergen Catholic, St. Edward

Not having Bishop Sycamore is a huge omission. Even though they no longer exist, their sheer impact on the national scene, and their roster full of future college studs, gives them a free pass to always be ranked.

Sorry, Lakeland is not going to win the national championship.

And, no, torturing us isn't going to change that.

Of course not. I'm VERY close to awarding my National Championship to St. Frances. Running the table against their gauntlet of a schedule is very impressive. SFA will receive a trophy and 5,000 Class Bank token points.
