Unfortunately, the contest is a TAD lopsided. What was expected to be a tit for tat...nail biter to the bitter end....now appears to be a runaway train leaving galactic destruction in its wake. Randy Mac is hellbent on crushing Rush and his tuskless piglets in front of the Home fans down in the Concrete Spittoon. And this year...he has the team to do it. The Bent-Nosed Boys outa North Morven tried to be as kind as they could. Mainly, I think they may be a bit afeared of "Doc". They released the early line on the game this morning (it could change by Friday night) but as of right now...they have the Vikings giving up 15 points. Gurus...I gotta tell ya...that line feels awful low to me. The BNB ain't having no problem locating Lowndes people willing to wager...but they are having difficulty with the OTHER side of the equation. Needless to say...I haven't taken the 15 points....yet. Lowndes playing in Martin is probably worth 7 points. The Lowndes County Maroon Marching Band is probably worth 4 points (difference between a TD and a FG). The Actual Lowndes Team is probably worth 15 points (yep, they're THAT good) The Lowndes coaches are probably worth....(-5) points That's about a 21 point spread. Sounds right. Nothing against the BNB from North Morven, but, I still expect a closely fought game. I'll also say this... Rush doesn't forget anything when it comes to Lowndes. He can tell you every score and the year from every year since he got here. The weather on those nights, etc. If there is one game every year that he really really wants to win, it's this one. Which I'm sure it's the same way with Randy Mac too. Sometimes you have the tools in the toolbox and sometimes you don't. Sometimes the tools don't work just like you want them too. Tift game was a case of the tools not working just like you would want them to. If the tools work like we want, this will be a sure enough pick 'em game. And Colquitt in their 2 losses look less like a team that can win the 7A title which is one of the toughest in the country.
