FootballGuy
If Auburn runs the table for the rest of the season, will they get into the cfb playoff? I mean.... let's say if they beat Georgia and Alabama (who happen to be undefeated) and win the sec championship, would that get them in or would the two losses be held against them? Depends upon the records of the contenders, of the other power conferences!

Would it kill the CFB commitee to not have an SEC team in the playoffs if this happened?

But, but......I thought the CFB committee said that you were allowed to overcome early setbacks....SETBACKS....not just a setback. In other words, you could lose more than once and get in if you have a great resume and win your conference championship, right?
BigBobT
If Bama loses to Auburn and doesnt play in SEC title game then we have the OSU/Penn St. situation all over again and we saw what happened there. It's all about the $$$$

It's all about the $$$$ Not an Ohio State fan but I did not have a big problem with that selection. Penn State gave Ohio State their lone loss by three at Happy Valley and was blown out at Michigan. Also, lost at Pitt which beat Clemson by one on the road. Couple of other tight games and the seven point win over Wisconsin in the title game, same as Ohio State's win at Camp Randall. FootballGuy
Just now, Sportsnut said: They would get in as Conference champs. SEC is College football and there is no way they have a playoff and the champ of the SEC is not there. And once again, all hell would break loose if a two loss team gets selected for the playoff. Omaha Vol
I’ve been preaching for an eight team playoff since the 80s. That’s the perfect number. No more.
