Kicking off in West Monroe

and that was the final

West Monroe  14  Ouachita  13

great game, hats off to Ouachita for a great game plan and execution...  hats off to my Rebs for a gut check and finding a way to win.

Ouachita has probably given the rest of the state a blueprint though, if you've got the speed load the box and dare WM to throw (it was a 64 yd pass that was the game winner).  Still, we needed a game like this before the playoffs but now we've got to be worried.  I'm afraid a team with defensive speed (aka Landry-Walker) will expose us again  :o

9-0 or not... struggling with O. Parish isnt a good sign.

None of West Monroes wins have been overly impressive. Id be concerned come playoff time.

Lucky theres no John Curtis , ECA, even De La Salle, Easton, or Karr in your way.

Not sure how tough the 5A bracket is gonna be.

I'd be afraid to meet up with those 3-5A Juggernauts....Especially Acadiana...

Very Tough...District 3-5A teams is crazy tough this year....Acadiana, Barbe, and Sulphur (Yes THAT Sulphur) can all make deep runs with Acadiana one of the threats to win State.

There are also a couple of Baton Rouge area school to keep an eye on (St. Amant, Zachary, East Ascension (maybe)...

And of course 1 or 2 athletic NOLA Schools (John Ehret?) can catch hot...I don't see them pulling an O.P. Walker tho...

All of Shreveport/Bossier publics should be gone after 2nd round as usual 😐

(Airline looks to be the one that can go the furthest)

By the way...West Monroe and Ouachita is a pretty big rivalry game.

Nothing against West Monroe or any of the top Louisiana schools - If the dates open for anyone why not top team from Florida or California?

The promoter specifically wants a team close in proximity so they will travel with fans.

A team from California or Florida might only bring 100 fans with them, where a team like West Monroe would come out in the thousands

You bring in big time Florida or Cali team and do some promotions - local HS fans might fill in the stands!  Play the game on Saturday night would also help

Allen ain't going anywhere. They don't need to and are in a community that the people have no issue traveling around the country for vacation.

So they aren't hurting to go look at some different buildings in some other states.

The school is so big and has like 5-6 football teams. Freshman White, Freshman Blue, etc.

The football money funds it all. Even if they get 7 home games a year that's only 7 instances you have to make as much money as you can to fund such a massive athletic department. Plus the fans who forked out the $50-60 million for the stadium want to utilize it as much as possible.

You gotta remember the only people that care about oos games are the goobers on this message board. Allen's coach ain't gonna lose $100K + to satisfy us clowns. Lol

I would love to see Allen travel --However,  I believe OOS teams want to experience this more than Allen wants to travel.

That's the frustration I see with Texas and Georgia. They have the biggest and best stadiums with the best attendances. I don't care if they ever leave their states. But I would think that these would the most desirable locations in the country yet it seems to be the most scarce of all the power states.

Florida, Cali, Ohio, Maryland and Jersey all travel around the country and host teams from all over. Wish TX and GA can be as prevalent.

Hats off to Florida for what they do...However, these others it's more less all the money private schools who care more about national recognition.

Whatever.

Teams, like Evangel, Curtis, West Monroe, Rummel, Neville and others here play games at Independence Stadium, Tad Gormley Stadium,  Superdome, Tulane Stadium (now)...The Shrine also.

Rummel, playing at Tulane Stadium this year is just as big as playing at Allen Stadium.

Allen, should be boycotted until they load a bus or plane.
