First, let me just say… Back-2-Back!! 🏆🏆

That’s right, your reigning, defending, back-to-back Prepgridiron Confidence Pick’em Champion is HERE, and yes, I am still humble; just twice as much as last year.

Before I dive into my undoubtedly inspirational words, I would like to again start with thanking these two individuals and giving a much needed and well-deserved shoutout to our incredible hosts,

@dntn31 and @Cossacks ❤️🎉 You’ve once again pulled off an absolutely, amazing feat organizing this competition. The spreadsheets, the data management, the countless hours. It does not go unnoticed. Despite some of us throwing curveballs by forgetting to put them in game order 😅 [We offer our sorries], you two keep this Pick’em train on track and moving right along. Thank you wholeheartedly for being the real MVPs.

🎉* Hold for standing ovation! *🎉🎊

Now, let’s talk about me. 

As a young child, following my older siblings around like a shadow. I always marveled at their achievements and dreamed of moments like this for myself.


Now . . . Standing atop the mountain, looking back at the journey just trekked.

It is a feat, only a select few have been blessed to witness. I am truly grateful to be here because it is not promised, nor guranteed.

At this point last year, I stood before you as a champion;

Now, I stand here as a LEGEND. 

…and while my journey has been filled with the usual obstacles of, doubt, haters, and a few rogue coin flips gone, absolutely wrong [Looking at you Texas]; This victory proves one thing: lightning DOES in fact strike twice. ⚡️⚡️

 

To my rivals, a heartfelt thank you:

• @FreeBird, your consistent disputes with the mods have inspired me to learn to pick early and often. 

• @TheMaximumHornetSting, for copying me again this year. Seriously, your dedication to plagiarism is admirable.

• And to @World Citizen🥈, and @tommygun58🥉for ensuring I never became complacent. Your fierce (and ultimately unsuccessful) attempts to dethrone me were truly entertaining.

Of course, I couldn’t have done this alone. A massive thanks to all the teams that remembered to win the games I picked. Your cooperation was crucial to this victory. To the teams I didn’t pick… you’re forgiven.

I would like to take a moment to address the haters who said, “She’ll never repeat.” 

Who is laughing now? ME! 😄 

The only thing stopping me from a three-peat is next year’s inevitable suspension of competition so everyone else can catch their breath.

I also have to mention CIF, UIL, and all governing bodies for continuing to schedule games just so I could keep showing you all how it’s done. 

A special shoutout to the refs for not blowing any calls that could’ve ruined my record (this year, at least).

And finally, I’d like to dedicate this trophy and (very elusive) check 💸 to everyone who has ever doubted themselves. 

Remember: you, too, can dominate the obstacles in front of you, whether that be in this competition; or life itself. 

You can be a champion if you just have the motivation, the mindset, a progressive process in place - and a little bit of luck w/ an ability to pick better than literally everyone else.

To my fellow competitors, I say this: sleep well, because next year… I’m coming for the 3-peat! 🐐🐐🐐
