Looking a lot like it..... I read his girlfriend plays basketball at Miami.

Wasn't expecting to see him in the transfer portal though.

Everything I read said the NFL people were saying it was a bad move to declare after the injury.  They were saying he would have been better served to have rehabbed his arm and shown what he could do after.  I guess he listened.  It would have been hard to go back to Georgia after abandoning ship especially with Gunner getting positive reviews for his first start.

It's hard to be as silly a person as you are.

Abandoned ship?

The guy tore his UCL. He's a 5th year Senior. He's probably already graduated. He was deciding what to do with the rest of his life.

But you take Gunner Stockton and see how that works out.

Miami also picked up a good WR from LSU earlier in the portal season.

CJ Daniels 6-2 200>  42 passes for 480 yards this past season at LSU. Has big play potential.

Anyways, always good to know who your QB1 is going to be going into the season.

I have a feeling Beck will be going to CJ Daniels a good bit next year. Be on the look out.

Yes, abandoned ship.  Georgia stayed with him while many thought they should have moved on.  It matters not if he is a 5th year senior or if he has graduated.  There are a lot of other players in the same position.  Many of them choose to continue in graduate school to keep playing.  The extra year of Covid eligibility has created many otherwise awkward situations like this in terms of 5 or 6th year players.  Graduate school was/would have cost him nothing while proving his arm had healed and he was worthy of the NFL.  He absolutely was deciding what to do with his life and decided that the future did not include UGA.  After realizing that he wasn't going to get where he wanted with the NFL route, he realized he burned his bridges at UGA and has to go somewhere else if he was to stay in college ball.  Given the girlfriend situation, Miami makes sense.

UGA will see how Gunner works out or they won't.  Their call.  If they stay with him, they are sure they have a QB that wants to be there and has the support of his teammates not someone who decided the grass was greener elsewhere and then slunk back when it didn't work out.

He realized that the offense at Georgia sucked. They have below average skill talent and a below average OC for a major SEC program. His receivers led the country in drops.

He has one year left. He doesn't want to gamble that Kirby Smart will figure out offense in one offseason.

Huh?

He injured his shoulder in the SEC Championship game. That was about 30 days ago.

I guess you weren't paying attention all year as people were calling for him to be replaced.  Hi overall numbers dropped considerably this season while his interceptions went sky high.

When someone graduates from college they usually move on with their life.

The fact that he's going to be a 6th year Senior and has his degree is almost entirely the point.

You really haven't paid attention over the past couple of years, have you?  There are many players that between red shirt and Covid year have achieved their undergrad and are still in grad school playing out their eligibility.  Educate yourself.  Examples below.

So you agree with me.

He had an opportunity to shine and demonstrate the ability to take the team on his back and walked away.

Guess what, think tank.

Carson Beck is also in grad school now.

You are complete moron.

I am well aware of that.  You are the one that called him a 6th year senior.  Big difference.

No, because you didn't say anything coherent.

Of course he's going to grad school.....at Miami.

See above about 6th year senior.  Grad school does not equal 6th year senior.

When he had support in 2023 he led the SEC in completions and yards.

When his support fell off a cliff in 2024 he looked for more help.

Good luck with Gunner Stockton.

LOL.

So he was good only because of the other top players on the team?  When some of them left, he got worse? So he bailed to somewhere he can get that support back?  Any way you look at it, he didn't stick with the team that brought him to the dance and jumped ship.

Not sure why you are telling me good luck with Gunner.  I have made it abundantly clear on multiple occasions that I am not a UGA fan.

Cue 4 or 5 or 6 more responses to pad your post count.

You seem to have a lot of time invested in this particular transfer not to be a UGA fan, Fast Freddy.

Of course> I'm just looking at it from the outside.

Beck is an above average QB and I'm just glad he didn't transfer to a SEC School.

I'm retired and it amuses me.

You're too stupid to even interact with.

Big difference in a 6th year senior and a grad student.  If you don't realize this, perhaps it is you that is the stupid one.  You flopped back and forth calling him a 6th year student and a grad student and it is an important distinction to the discussion.
