THS2011 (my fellow Kentuckian).....do not worry, no favors being asked.

I have seen remarks about a playoff for the Pick'em's.  Is that true, and if so, is it the Top 16 that qualify.

I did not play Week 1, but that's the way it goes.  No problem.  Just having a lot of fun with this, and learning a lot from the guys on here.

Just wanted to know if this continues?  Thanks.... Go 'Rocks (and Bombers).

As a Kentuckian myself, i vote for a top 20 playoff.

I always wondered if somehow a Newport connection was in the nptb17?

Curious, what happens if there is a tie for that 16th position?

I suggest ECHS picks a game in which everyone has to project the total number of points the two teams score. Closest gets the tiebreaker.

You can keep playing along but it'll get cut to the top 16. If I'm cut ill keep playing as well just to see how I do.

Yes, I was hesitant at first with the playoff idea, because I didn't want to exclude anybody.........I think everyone should still keep playing to see how they end up......I know I would

I agree. Closest points to the GOTW total will have to be the tiebreaker. Not just for the 16th seed, but to break all the other ties for proper seeding.

Absolutely.  Eddie was a year or two behind me.  Outstanding player.   I was at NewCath, class of '65.

He ended up out here, teaching law at Denver University Law School. My brothers and I, from Ft. Thomas, go to a Rockies/Reds game every summer with Ed when the Reds come to town. He's an entertaining guy. This last summer we talked a lot about playing "strikeout" against a building wall growing up -- remember strikeout?

Too funny.  I also grew up in Ft. Thomas also. (Mayo Ct.).  Went to NC rather than Highlands.  That where all my friends went. easy choice.

I do remember "strikeout".  Strike zone box on a wall (tape or chalk).  Nuns at St. Catherine's did not appreciate our entrepreneurship.

It's a small world.

Shaw Lane. Older brother went to St. X before we headed West in 1967.

I know where Shaw Lane is.  Was your brother at StX with Bob Arnzen  (StX class of '65), also from Ft. Thomas.

My son graduated from StX in '02.   I have very strong ties there;  have some great academic high schools in Greater Cincinnati area.
