Massey didn't get the Freeman memo about GA being 4th in the power state hierarchy  #algorithmsnailmail   #smokesignals1gigdownloadspeed

HOW are we JUST FOURTH?xD We have 10 mil, Cali has 40 mil, Fla. has 20 mil, and Tejas has 25 mil! And GEORGIA has as many or MORE quality teams than ANY of those states!

U got a bunch of average to decent teams in Georgia unfortunately none of them are Elite .. if u truly believe there's an elite team in the peach state then u suffer from mental health or u truly lack the knowledgeable of football,.. u said collquit won the national championship but every poll I look up has bishop Gorman or Katy as #1 nationally ranked?

I believe there are some really good teams in Georgia and within the context of that state, a few are elite.  Problem is, nobody gets to know how good they really are since there are not enough games played against “elite on a national” basis teams. 2015 Colquitt could have an argument for MNC with at least a couple top 15ish teams on the schedule.  Same goes for this year’s Lowndes team if they win out. I would like to see how they could do against an Allen, Mater Dei, AHP...

Thus, unless you are one of those teams that actually does it on the field against top level national competition as BG has done for the past few years, your argument is just that, an argument.  This goes for any team from any state hoping to be considered national #1.  No shame in being state champ from GA, CA, TX...

Uh, of course they do...cause we TELL them....(Smile).  Everybody wants to go into convulsions...but that's exactly where Rush was going with his request for some sort of national playoff system.  Most teams are like Colquitt...they're gonna stay within their state to play about 99% of their regular season games.  Rush has attempted to bring in OOS teams...when the finances work.  You don't see ESPN or some other media giant funding this...so the pesos hafta fall in line.  Then comes the state playoffs.  And when you get down to it...that's what it's all about . I really would love to play Mater Dei...or Katy...or even Gorman...if somebody else is paying.  But like I have posted from DAY ONE....it costs MAJOR pesos when Colquitt travels.  In my best Michael Douglas voice....we can be bought...but...WE AIN'T CHEAP !!!!

No shame in being a state champ from any state.

Not gonna lie... GA and FL are neck and neck this year... I'd give GA the slight edge in depth by 1 or 2 teams...

Definitely in range for discussion. The difference being GA tends to have more intrigue with less transfers creating a larger core of annual schools you can list without hesitation.   It’s more cyclical in GA with exceptions.  This is what imo makes many feel GA is a weaker state than they are.  Rome is a school I read about in the off-season.  Archer doing their thing so far.  A few examples.   Thoughts?

Archer is a good Team but they take advantage of there location. Same for Grayson...

Also I believe Rome is open enrollment like Buford and Marietta...

Want equal footing with those states in population?

Grow, that's your problem not ours

Want respect

Grow some balls and play the elites in the border state to the south

Best team you all beat from Florida this year was a 3 loss Team who will lose in regionals

FL has beaten a top 3 Cali team and went to Las Vegas and beat the defending national champs

Those 2 wins are of better quality then any team Georgia has beaten against the sunshine state in past 5 years

I give Florida edge because Florida has beaten quality oos teams on the road

Also i did numbers

Georgia leads Florida this year by a single win and that's with them having over half the games being mismatches

But only one way to be sure

After the year we should compare top 50 GA vs top 50 FL and see who edges out

I think this is a fair take.

There isn't always a ton of hype about transfers here, because, well, it's frowned upon to a great extent. Teams here tend to need to find more creative ways to build their teams and programs, which, in they eyes of the norm that we see discussed on here, is abnormal. It's very easy to point out multiple star players moving from school to school and stacking teams up, and then hype those teams for rankings. It's a lot more difficult to delve in and see the programs that are developing talent through their ranks, as not a lot of guys are heavily following the underclass teams.

It's a lot more difficult to build a program that way rather than going the transfer route, therefore a lot more difficult to produce hype, when the players coming in are from under classes rising into their positions and not already heavily recruited or noticed.

Definitely hurts the perception of the public school heavy states at times.
