Rivalry weekend for many teams.

Who is your rival and when do they play?

Friday Night is the Bar-B-Que Bowl between Cocoa and Rockledge since 1971 when the school split.

McClarity Stadium will be standing room only for this Brevard game. Bar-B-Que will be offered if you get there before the game starts, Chicken, Baked Beans, Slaw and a drink for around 10 bucks. Prices may change.

Here is what is on the line. Bragging rights for the year, something Rockledge hasn't had since 2005, and the smack talk is worse than Trump's twitter on North Korea. Beating Cocoa would be the highlight of any Brevard team, specially for the Rock. A little side wager between school principals.

"The principals of Rockledge and Cocoa High schools have a little wager each football season The loser of the annual Barbecue Bowl has to scrub the winning school's cafeteria tables for a week."

The teams know each other very well. Wayne Younger, 2005 Cocoa Varsity Captain, and now Rockledge head coach was the last Cocoa QB that lost to Rockledge. Yes, the last time Cocoa lost to Rockledge was in 2005 and the Rival team QB is now the HC at Rockledge.

It gets better. Rockledge and Cocoa steal each others better athletes. Cocoa seems to get the football players and Cocoa's baseball players find a way to play for Rockledge. The rivalry between Cocoa and Rockledge is intense in Baseball, Football, and Basketball.  Something we look forward to every year.

Colquitt has FOUR rivals! Camden, Valdosta, Tift and Lowndes! With Valdosta being the END all, BE all of the bunch, dating back to the Fall of 1913! And THAT year, my freshman year, they played TWICE! And THERE in lies the dilemma, of having to get UP four times a season! Not to mention the frequent non region games with the likes of AHP, Hoover, Roswell, McEachern, Grayson, North Gwinnett, Bishop Sullivan, Tucker, and Norcross! I know you boys don't think those are a very daunting task! But TRY UM sometime, and see how that works out for you!

And with twenty five players, Cocoa don't HAVE MUCH to STEAL!xD

That’s Indeed a much different, but probably more enjoyable scenario than what Cen10 gets.  I can’t wait to see what the OOL schedule brings each year since the league is just not a challenge and we can’t be in the Trinity league being that we’re such heathens and all.

You have a more compelling season on a week to week basis.

At least there’s playoffs to look forward to.

Cocoa only steals the best and when there are only 25 very good to elite athletes in Brevard, well, Cocoa has an elite roster. Most of the time, Cocoa only needs 25 to beat most teams in America. Sure we get caught knee deep in the mud sometimes, but when Cocoa gets beat, the team is usually in the national top 10. For a bunch of skinny little rednecks, they sure are scrappy.

Rule #1 don't waste your time on dead weight, send them to the JV  squad.

It is... I went to Cocoa 2 years but graduated from Rockledge for sports reasons. My favorite game cause I can't lose or win. I just enjoy the game for the athletes on the field.

A lot of rich and long traditions for you guys in the east coast that we on the west miss out on.  I think.  Idk though.

Camden is not a rival for us...

But we will do to them what we did to colquitt... and win...

You guys better treat them like one.

They're new rivals, and you better get used to that. It appears they are investing heavily in getting back to the top and whipping all our rears sooner than later.
