ECHS05
Check out Georgias playoff matchups ... no more predicting.. these are set for next week... 7A 1st Round Playoff Matchups: Upper Left Quadrant: Collins Hill @ Milton South Gwinnett @ Brookwood Newnan @ Tift Co. Roswell @ Hillgrove --------------------------------------------- Lower Left Quadrant: West Forsyth @ Mill Creek Meadowcreek @ Archer Colquitt Co. @ Pebblebrook North Cobb @ Walton ================================== Upper Right Quadrant: Newton @ Parkview Mountain View @ South Forsyth Etowah @ McEachern Campbell @ Lowndes --------------------------------------------- Norcross @ Grayson North Forsyth @ North Gwinnett North Paulding @ Woodstock Lassiter OR Marietta @ Westlake (Lassiter/Marietta is the "At Large" bid but it hasnt been decided yet... however, its pretty clear it'll be one of those 2 teams) ========================= There you have it for 7A... sets up some interesting potential 2nd rd matchups like... Milton @ Brookwood Mill Creek @ Archer Colquitt Co. @ Walton (Oh yeah!) McEachern @ Lowndes Grayson @ North Gwinnett Id say Colquitt @ Walton and Grayson @ North Gwinnett stand out as 2 excellent 2nd rd games... ECHS05
In 5A... Rome, Buford, and Stockbridge... the top 3 5A teams, are all on the sams side of the bracket. Buford could meet Stockbridge in the Quarterfinals Buford/Stockbridge winner could play Rome in the Semis... could easily see any one of Buford, Stockbridge, or Rome winning and going to state. On the other side of the bracket you have Wayne Co., Jones Co., Warner Robins & Carrollton. I believe Warner Robins looks like the best teams of those 4. How Id rank 5A now... 1. Rome 2. Buford 3. Stockbridge 4. Warner Robins 5. Jones Co. 6. Wayne Co. 7. Carrollton 8. Starr's Mill

Does metro ATL have a corner on the market of REALLY SHITTY STADIUMS? If you put the visitor's sides of Pebblebrook and Walton together, you STILL don't have 1500 seats! And I'll bet NEITHER home stands will be full in the coming weeks! It was SENIOR night, and was for the 4-7A Championship tonight at Walton! And the home stands were only 3/4 full! And North Paulding beat the DOG SHIT outta MIGHTY Marietta tonight, and their hot shot coach from ole Virginnie! As an aside, I TRIED to give Mo Dixon back to Walton tonight, but understandably, there were NO TAKERS!

TheMaximumHornetSting
In 5A 1-9 #4 seed South Effingham will be traveling to Warner Robins to collect another massive ass beating for the 4th year in a row in the 1st RD... They should not be in the playoffs

ECHS05
As far as Cartersville in 4A, they atleast have a different journey in 4A... theyll have to beat 4 of the better 4A teams in a row... Theres a 3 way tie in Region 6 so we dont know who their 1st rd opponent is yet... but itll be either Northeast Whitfield, Pickens, or Southeast Whitfield Co.... no matter which, Cartersville will win something like 55-7, 62-7... In the 2nd rd, theyll play 4A #5 Blessed Trinity....who sits at 8-2 and plays Oconee Co. in the 1st rd. In the Quarterfinals, they'll play 4A #7 Thomson, who sits at 9-1 ... they play Region 4 #3, of which there has to be a tiebreaker to determine. Semis... Id like to say #3 Ridgeland or #8 Mary Persons... And the finals...#6 Woodward Academy, #4 Burke Co., or #2 Marist... So at the very least, Cartersville will most likely have to play 4 straight top 10 4A teams...which will look good for them.
Rufus69
Just a few things to ponder.... 1. There are some pretty durn good 1st round games next week !!!! 2. This will be Colquitt's first time ever playing Pebblebrook. 3. This Board is about to receive an education of stadium sizes and total inadequacies...courtesy of Rab. 4. Valdosta ACTUALLY made the AAAAAA playoffs !!!! (I think they play Glynn Academy next week) 5. And of course...the always....Lowndes will stomp a mudhole in Campbell. A MUDHOLE !!!!!! Lowndes will BLOW Grayson a NEW one! Ain't NO way in HELL Grayson can stay up with the VIKES, offensively! And NOBODY will stop Lowndes from scoring, who is currently averaging about 50 per game! I'm still trying to wrap my head around Warner Robins trekking to Kirby Smart High, and laying Bainbridge out last night! The Demons have struggled mightily with Northside, Coffee, and ALMOST screwed da pooch at crappy lil Thomas Co. Central! Warner Robins has NO DEEEEfense! ECHS05
Poor Colquitt may have to play... 2nd rd - Walton Quarterfinals - Archer Semifinals - Tift Co/Brookwood (both teams that have beat Colquitt this season) Finals - Lowndes/Grayson (South Forsyth is 10-0 too though, and North Gwinnett is very good... so you never know whats gonna happen) Run that gauntlet Packer fans, and Colquitt will never be doubted again... even on here. Walton, Archer, Tift, & Lowndes are a combined 39-1 right now. Replace Brookwood w Tift and its 38-2.

Tift Co. also struggled mightily with Coffee, losing all game before kicking a game winning FG to take it 33-31. Warner Robins was actually beating Coffee (unlike Tift) 49-27 with a min left in the 3rd...and let off the break a little letting Coffee catch up before WR won 52-49. Warner Robins is legit, their D is good enough because the offense is very good.

Tift won on a FG. Tift was not losing the whole game at one point Tift lead 21-0 Matter a fact most of that game Tift dominated Coffee. It wasnt until after HT that Coffee came to life...
