STA FL need to lose to prove to everyone the SJB CA is overrated.  It must be nice to lose oos to a team that now has been beat couple of times.

Just tired of all the BS in national polls - Had Miramar beat SJB in close game to start the season - SJB would have dropped at least 50 spots

- saying SJB would have won with the other QB when the one who started led them to the Cal title and this soph had not won the starting position yet or even played in a meaningful game is bogus.

  The loss also shows their inability to physically man up - like others have done to beat them.

against STA they couldn't even bust long run for TD.

Against MD they not only score on long simple pass routes they bust nice run for TD too.

If recruited up teams like this are going to play oos - then losing should be held against them.

Fact is SJB got beat by one of the worst STA teams in memory and everyone has turned blind eye to it.

Last MD is only marginally better than SJB - this was proven when the two played - yet most everyone isn't smart enough to see it - Wait until they play again maybe people will see the truth.

The rankings are bogus!

Should I be impressed that a few recruited up schools in California have played oos games this year?  

DLS is still the bell cow of the state and we have all seen what happens when they challenge themselves.  That DLS team that came to Texas is better than this MD team and so was CC the same year!!!

I can guarantee I’ve seen DLS, MD, CC and SJB many times more than you have. This year’s MD is better than any of those teams over the past 5 years and it’s not even close.  They don’t run the score up like SJB and Cen10 when they have a chance.  If you swapped MD and Cen10 coaching with this year’s MD talent, SJB would be popping pills ( aspirin) and drinking (laxative) heavily.  MD has way more firepower than 2015 Cen10 which put up 63 on an undefeated SJB in SS title game.  That SJB team gave up 11ppg prior to the title game.  MD just chooses not to bury teams.  Against BC, they took the foot off the gas with around 3 min to go in second quarter and still scored 62.

I don’t want them to be that good, this year they just are.  You say most people aren’t smart enough to see that MD is only marginally better than SJB this year?  You’re saying you are one of the smart ones, yet you’ve not been to a single MD game, and thus your supposition is just as bogus as the rankings you’re crying about.  

SJB may be over-rated but MD has done what they need to.  BTW,  you also say CC was better than the DLS team that travelled to TX.  DLS won the head to head matchup for state title so....

And if you'll notice, with FEW exceptions, the private schools in Cali, Vegas, Jersey, and FLAAAWDA, almost never play publics from Tejas and Georgia! They wanna keep up this private school, superiority bullshit facade!

For example: Duncanville is the third best team in Texas, I think. One poll had Aledo as the third best team in the state lol.

It's best to not worry about them and focus on the playoffs in your state.

We're never gonna have a national playoff system of any worth. We may get one good OOS match up early in the year that means very little. That's about it.

They are doing a helluva job because I have been including 5 CA schools weekly in the 25... and with Judson dropping out (hope the stud QB’s knee heals for a playoff run) I might add a 6th.  Chaminade is no gimme.  

Some schools like DLS and STA get the grandfather clause ranking annually.  Losing 34-7 to BG was not good, but admittedly I have DLS in the rear section of my 25 mainly due to beating SJC.  How anyone ranked STA in the 25 this last week is still a mystery to me.  Only the namebrand identity is my guess.   The namebrand recognition is why Desoto was ranked this year as well.   

Mater Dei is very good.  CC with a healthy QB is a tough out.  DLS is DLS.  Spongebob maybe cranks it up his final year for MV,  Chaminade is solid imo also. If we had a top 10 power state exhibition, sorry but imo CA clobbers the field.  IMG included.  FL is toast.   SoCal is the real deal this year imo.   

Forgot to add that with the soph QB at the helm since commanding a comeback win at SJC, the SJB O is much better than they were vs STA.   Every game counts but where you are now is also just as important.

What do you mean by better?  More D1's?  Better when comparing position to position?  Play better on field?  All the above?  MD is better this year for sure but a lot of "BETTER" teams have lost to DLS.  Best example is LBP vs DLS in 2001.

Excellent fair take.

Some years Texas will have the best team and or teams, Same with florida.  When they do we will stand by the side and applaud as the victors go by.

2017 is Calif year.  It would be nice to get our just due on this site.
