Ararar
This team lost on an admitted blown ruling by the refs and now is asking for an injunction http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/highschool/ct-spt-1122-prep-fb-fenwick-follow-20161121-story.html
AztecPadre
Fenwick parents are going ape shit. I like the ones calling for the other team to do the right thing and forfeit. LOL. Right like they would do the same thing if the roles were reversed. LOL
HawgGoneIt
I wonder how this turns out. I bet the original outcome is upheld, or else these type suits will become pretty common. A lot of games end on stupid decisions made by the refs. Sucks for the kids though.
Rufus69
It does suck. But honestly, I don't see how a court is gonna overturn anything. Now if I were part of the Fenwick clan.... Rufus>>
MA Fan
Seriously doubt anything will be overturned but they probably have to do this to keep the parents happy. About 15 years ago in Massachusetts a team tried to get an injunction after the refs botched the ending of a girls basketball tournament game, but it was denied. hardhit1
With the internet and I phones etc. every game could go to court based on a wrong call. I say bullshit with the lawsuit..... live with the decision and go forward.
Ararar
Sorry Fenwick http://www.latimes.com/sports/highschool/varsity-times/la-sp-vi-football-illinois-judge-refuses-to-overturn-game-result-because-of-blown-official-s-call-20161123-story.html
ron169
The courts should issue a court ordered participation award. That should suffice.
