Poly thumps JSerra 54-38 in 4th

Serra beat Poly last week, and gave Cen10 all they could handle before losing 14-35

Mission Viejo barely escapes Trinity #5 Servite 38-36

Trinity #6 knocks off National Top 25 Chaminade

Santa Margarita upset by Murrieta Valley

Stache running clock over Vista Murrieta 49-7

SJB bashes their way over Amat 35-14 or so.

Take Aways:  Poly is much improved and showed the old Poly speed.  Transfer QB Corral makes that offense go.

Mission Viejo not as good as advertised but should get by OLU next week

Cen10 struggles offensively in first team with a pulse they played since IMG.  Not seeing them get past SJB at this rate.

Stache vs Poly will be a fun game to watch next week.

Look for Stache and Bash in the finals again.

Will you keep Cent10 tier 1 ?

Not sure Bosco has it.  Way too many penalties. Like 15?  Give or take. The online struggled against Amat last night. The team just seems off. Not sure what it is.

Poly looked strong. Too many athletes on that team to ever count them out

Bottom line, as long as MD does not suffer any major injuries and MD coaches don’t out coach themselves the Rollo farewell tour ends with a CIF championship and a State walk off running clock.

What did last night prove?

MD and SJB have way more talent than rest of all TL schools combined. Small wonder they keep winning.

TL better than Mission League, but outside of MD and SJB, TL way over-rated this year.  Realize that SM lost to a team that got DESTROYED by San Clemente and also lost to Santiago.   OLU showed up finally, but against a team I have been saying all year was a mirage and it was proven last night.  JSerra is who we thought they are.  Nice little school in nice area, that can beat weak public schools and occasionally the weaker TL schools, but can’t beat publics that can fight back.  Same as always for them.

San Clemente got absolutely screwed being pushed up into D1. Maybe CIF should actually go watch teams.  Physically they are probably smaller than MD JV squad.

MV also not that great. Barely beat TL pretender Servite.  Look for them to bow out next round.

Cen10 is capable of bad games and the run is what drives them not passing.  Until 4th quarter Serra stuffed the run, and undersized receiver corp could get separation just like in game against Narbonne.

LB Poly is on the rise and would probably challenge Cen10 for best public in So Ca right now.

And the Trinity isn't. They must play at 100% all the time right? All teams are capable of bad games. That includes JSerra and Santa Margarita.

Of course they are also capable of bad games.  However, I wasn’t at all surprised by J Serra result.   I knew SM had questionable D but I figured they could hold back Murrieta Valley and the halftime score seemed on target.   Looks like halftime adjustments made the difference in that game.  So was it a bad game by SM in that case or Murrieta Valley transformed overnight?

Cen10 is basically helpless when team can go man on man and match their athletes.  Watch SJB stymie them.   Was not impressed with Cen10 passing or running game.  MCKee is not a threat like the QB before him was.

Cen10 defense did well against a very good Serra attack.

CC did everything they could to give that game away. Dropped balls, turnovers, bad coaching and unnecessary penalties made this a tougher game than it should have been. The refs were as bad (for both sides) as I've seen recently and a 15 seeded G Serra with 6 or 7 D1 players put up a good fight.

But the Huskies prevailed...by two touchdowns

You got that right.  It was a brutal game to watch though.
