Colquitt Gets Lucky....Wins 1st Round

It was touch and go.  But our poor, tiny, little, undersized and inexperienced Hawgs pulled it out late in the 4th Qtr. last night.  Again...too many flags.  We even got an unsportsmanlike for early celebration at the end of the 3rd.  We thought we had won the game and tried to "raise the house".  To our dismay...we still had another Qtr. to go.  This little incident started a heated verbal dispute between our AD and our HC.  Just par for the course.  But...we did look a lot better at Pebblebrook.  We got UNBEATEN Walton next.  Suffice it to say....Oh Woe Is Us !!!!!!

I think that unsportsmanlike came because the boys crossed the hash marks. You are allowed to whoop it up with 4 fingers in the air all the way to the hash marks but you aren't allowed to cross them. Our boys literally crossed the line last night. Text book definition.

We certainly got lucky. If that clock hadn't been running in the fourth quarter like that, Pebblebrook looked poised to whip our tails after we crossed the line like that.

Colquitt is in for a rude awakening come next Friday.

Walton... is not Cobblebrook or whatever their name was....

Waltons QB Austin Kirksey completed all 10 of his passes for 183 yards passing vs North Cobb...all but 29 (154) of those yards were to Dominick Blaylock.

Walton was slowed by 2 early fumbles.. but they got it together to beat North Cobb 28-14.

Heres are Waltons wins over playoff teams this season...

Def. North Gwinnett 31-28 (a very good win, over the #6 overall team in GA at CP... NG is 10-1, their only loss to Walton)

Def. Brookwood 42-35 (B'wood is #10 in GA at CP, sitting at 9-2 with their 2 losses to undefeated teams Walton & Archer...B'wood has a win over Colquitt)

Def. Woodstock 42-37 (this was for the Region 4 title, Woodstock is 7-4... and are headed to the 2nd rd of the playoffs after a 28-14 win over North Paulding.. Woodstock is currently ranked #35 in GA at CP)

Def. North Cobb 28-14 (this was their win last night...NC came into the playoffs at 6-4... but their losses have been to McEachern 27-21, Hillgrove 42-10, North Paulding 24-17, & an upset loss to East Coweta 36-35... all of those are playoff teams but EC... NC is #57 in GA overall)

Def. Dacula 34-20 (Dacula is headed to the 2nd round in 6A.. they defeated Pope 47-14 last night... Dacula is 7-4 but ALL of their losses have been to 7A teams, Walton 34-20, Mill Creek 20-7, West Forsyth 15-9... )

Anyway... you get the point... Waltons going to show up and show Colquitt how to play Top GA FB.

Yes sir. There isn't a doubt in my mind that Colquitt needs a good class on how to play Top GA FB.

I'm taking this to Rush so he can put it on the board. Or above the board. Or the trash can. Where ever he's feeling it belongs. xD

this is exactly what Colquitt needs. With the cupcake schedule they played this year, and in years past, we definitely need a thorough lesson in what top GA football looks like.

Btw, where is the bake sale this week to raise money for fuel to get to Atlanta

Before a couple of years ago, I never heard of Moultrie, Ga.  Now I am thinking of e-mailing the GPS coordinates to the North Koreans.

Before you do that... Come down for a visit first. You may actually like the place.

Having a Grand Ole Opry salute concert at the pavillion on The Square tonight. Could be fun. Hop on that private Leer you have and hit me up when you get to the airport, I'll come get. The airport loaner here is... blah.

Or you could wait til Thanksgiving and come for the lighting ceremony when all the lights get turned on.

Both events should be good.

I SAW mighty Walton last week, did YOU? A RUDE awakening?xD You DO realize a course, that you are talking about a team what took a TOP TWENTY TEAM to the brink of deeeefeet, and was a 35 yd. missed field goal, from giving them the droopy mouf in regulation? But we HAFTA show up, or we'll lose to Ned and the Second Reader! IF we show up, Walton had better KISS THEIR ASSES GOODBYE! Cause we just MAY FUCK UM UP!

Does anybody know the last time Colquitt lost to a Cobb county team? I believe that it was 1998! And if you were wondering the last time a Cobb county team won the state championship, it was 1967! And Colquitt's overall record against that county is 8-1!

And NO, I DON'T GET YOUR POINT! Walton's BEST team EVER, got BITCHED SLAPPED by a Grayson team who shouldn't have even been IN the finals in 2011!

An interesting factoid that you MAY not be aware of? Walton's head coach in 2016, in NOW OUR DC!

You DO realize that Walton has played NOBODY who is nationally ranked, while Colquitt has played four? And you can forget the Colquitt debacle at Brookwood! They DON'T wanna see us AGAIN!
