Thanks DD. Some great and interesting matchups. I hope Trinity can take care of business with Plano and see how they stack up with Duncanville the next round. Samples has worked his magic again at another school. Even though CH is down this year(not for long), what a stacked district that is.

If Trinity wins and meets Duncanville, would that be a game you're interested in?

Trinity vs Plano could be a good matchup. Historically, these two teams have had some great games. However, If Trinity wins I expect them to get beaten by Duncanville by at least 2 scores.

No doubt.  Trinity seems to have improved from the 1st two weeks.  I am excited about the playoffs this year because of the uncertainty of it all.  Again 4A DI is gonna be great with those 4 top teams all in different regions.  That could end up being a real final 4.

I suspect Trinity will have their hands full with Plano. As you said, there have been some hard fought games between them. I see Trinity winning in the end. I will be there to root for them.

Yea, Duncanville will probably win, just like to see how they stack with this team. Although I am not conceding anything until it happens.

An Allen vs. Duncanville would be a great quarter final.

For whatever reason, its not letting me quote a response. The above was meant for Cracker.

DD - I'll have to take your word for it. I'm not to familiar with 4A teams, but I know you are high school football guru and attend a lot of games. Hope all is well in your world. BTW, Trinity has improved and a much different/better team than early on, but this current squad is not the Trinity of old. Next year might see an even better team with a lot of good players coming back. QB, Top WR and RB all return and quite a few on defense. Let's see how this run goes...T's Up!

Hey old friend this is the 1st time in a Decade the old Redskin and I haven't been to a ET game.  You guys beat Plano and I will be there next week for sure.   4A DI is gonna be awesome.  Smaller teams with a lot of Talent   T's up and good luck.   Glad I didn't take that trip to Union.

Just around about the Playoffs.  I will reach out to my friends about other teams.  Horsefly, TexasBall no doubt about it those 2 know Texas HS Football and hopefully contribute.  This year 6A is gonna surprise a lot of people with results of games.  Here is one of my surprises an El Paso team will make waves In 6A.  Montwood have a very dynamic QB in Andrew Fernandez not big only 5'10" 168.  They are gonna surprise some people in Region 6A DII R1:  I got them going 3 rounds deep and losing to Desoto In Semi--Finals.  No El Paso team have done that in forever.

My surprise pick

DD- I might come over and take in the Allen game this week.  You going?

Trinity vs Plano would be much closer for me.

Allen is always a good choice. Great Staduim and great team, but I don't think they will have a problem with Hebron. Even though the score may not reflect it, Trinity ran all over them and was up 2 scores in 4th qtr. The QB for Hebron is a stud. Kid can run and pass.

I think the Trinity vs Plano will be a much better matchup and better game. Just saying.

I could see that for Montwood, but I could also see Midland beating them in round one. Midland was a disaster to start the year and lost to Montwood by five in non-district. But they came on strong to finish the year and had 10-0 San Angelo Central on the ropes in game nine.

I say Montwood loses in the second round.

Shady how about you be the go to person for the West as the playoffs go forward and I update the top matchups. I will reach out to you for input.  I don't get to see those teams live except on the Friday night Scoreboard shows.  But that kid qb from Montwood is athletic.  I still say they are the surprise and makes it to the semis vs. Desoto and get worked. :D

Their banking on history repeating previous games.  This will probably reduce some of the casual fans and Plano fans from making the long trip on a Friday evening. I hope they re-run it later, so I can see the TV version also.

I will record this one and watch some on my phone at the Allen Game tomorrow Night.  Gotta enjoy eating a few $3 Nachos till the $9:50 ones during the State Championships at the Death Star. 9_9  Good luck.
