What stands out to me is no AL, GA or NJ in the comp top 25.

This made room for more deserving teams. Good to see.

26 & 30...

You may as well let it go, there 2 Top 25 in JawGa.

Curious golf... Did you give teams a +5 for making it on a poll? Or any credit? Or still no?

Maybe Ill redo the comps... Giving every team a +5 for each poll they made. If not... 1 team can be rated 25th in all 7 polls, and another can be rated 18th in just 1 single poll and that team will be rated high in the comp poll.

From those three states, only Rome deserved a T25 ranking. IMO they'd handily beat the other undefeateds like BD, PR, TM, SL, BA, Trinity* or SP, many of whom greatly benefited from an inflated CP ranking in the composite.

many of these teams were ranked higher by humans than CAL

another thought is, maybe many teams were greatly benefited by human bias in the polls?

everything has many perspectives

The Prepgridiron forum poll should be out early next week and I will modify this current 7 poll compilation to reflect the final poll entry.  The Top 25 record comes from the current comp top 25 listed in this spreadsheet (which will change likely once the last poll is reflected), while the top 100 and top 250 records come from Calpreps ratings.   What stands out right away is Brentwood Academy being ranked/rated by 4 of 7 polls, including Massey at #4 and USA Today at #7... yet Brentwood Academy did not face an opponent rated in the top 250.    Ben Davis, South Pointe and Trinity were 3 other schools in the top 25 who did not face a top 100 opponent.

Echs, I added some columns and placed all 1 poll ranked/rated schools at the bottom.   Two poll variation at the most is fine with me.  I'm cool with this list and awaiting Prep to share the forum poll and I will update and share.  Edit:  I'll clean up the tied rankings on next update.   If a tie, the school with more polls takes the higher spot.  If same # polls, a tie (unless I opt for a tiebreaker like better top 100 or top 250 record).

Not necessarily true... Liberty played BG closer than 27... So SP damn sure can.

SP gives MD a closer game also.

De La Salle is not that good.

MD would so beat them that badly, probably worse.

Yes, DLS is good.

For the love of Christ STOP daisy chaining! I don’t know why you people do that? BG also beat Liberty 84-7 the year before. Do you really think Liberty was THAT bad or, could it possibly be, that BG ran up the score for the pollsters. Based on that daisy chaining score Liberty was the worst team in Nevada. Come on!

You cant dismiss every single game.

You have to look and see exactly, which games are relevant to use for comparison and which games are not. BG beating Liberty was the odd man out, but sometimes comparison can help.

After MD, IMG, SFA and TM, the number of "top," ranked teams with .500/losing records vs the T25 is laughable. Conversely, it's great that so many prominent teams are playing each other these days.

So teams that dont play any T25 teams should be ranked ahead of those that do and lose?

Brentwood Academy, Bergen Catholic, Miami Northwestern, and Folsom in the Top 25 is ridiculous.

In mine ... (Which is very close to being done)...

29. Miami Northwestern FL

45. Bergen Catholic NJ

46. Folsom CA

69. Brentwood Academy TN

Mine is simply far, far superior.

I cant wait to see the 28 teams you have better than MNW.

Need to correct PC as their loss to TM wasn’t to a comp 25.  Probably not the only mistake I made.

Bingham was quoted as stating they don’t want to be 0-3.  That shows how strong SFA was this season.

MNW barely got over 50 pct of the players vote to travel to AZ and play another game.  Many who agreed the only reason was to fly on an airplane for the first time.

MNW’s entire season’s work w 2 wins over Miami Central gets erased because Rocky looked weaker vs Thunderlips?   MNW was so intense for the game that in AZ their final practice consisted of the O and D switching positions.

Hahaha.  He has been doing it for a couple years now.  He HATES the success of DLS and SoCal teams.  Like major envy.  ECHS means well. Lol

You are an absolute idiot. This guys rankings were spot on and you disparage him because you don't "like" the teams on his list?

He used real criteria and not "likes" as you did. You have zero credibility. None whatsoever.

North Gwinnett, Rome, and Colquitt couldn't beat Folsom. Stop crying and help your state teams actually win a title in something instead of choking.

Go home.

Folsom is just barely more significant than Colquitt over the past 5 years bro. And that's coming from a heavily biased Cali source.

I can get down with you guys clawing for a spot in NorCal but I haven't noticed you guys running over to Texas or SoCal to prove yourselves. What top ranked teams have you guys played in the past few years?

A couple things:

Cali is dominated by private schools.

Folsom has won 3 state titles in 7 years with no transfers. Let thank sink in. Public school dominant programs are cyclical in CA. Private schools don't dominate the GA landcape. Different demographics.

Folsom is bringing their entire team back next year. They are the favs in NorCal. They could be really special.

Now Colquitt - cmon. They barely beat a cali school who isn't even top 50 in Cali. Folsom would roll Colquitt. That's almost fact.

Colquitt has an open spot for this season. Only one way to make a fact out of an almost fact.

Of course Folsom won't even travel a few hundred miles south to play SJB, so there is zero chance they want to play Colquitt.

Word is Ga schools don't like to travel.

Why not come play on the blue turf?

It would give you guys a chance to "get out." :D

I would actually love to see Colquitt play live sometime @HawgGoneIt
