Bodysurf
What we already assumed to be happening is now official per the man himself. Bryce Young will be flinging it for the Monarchs next year.

But the world we live in.
CCBlackhatter
Meanwhile... The CIF reads the following tweet, but finds another team to punish for having ineligible transfers.

FolsomStateTitles
Folsom had creepers calling the CIF over 2 kids from Reno that didn't even transfer. The moved into the district and have attended since freshman year. I can only imagine what something like this would do..... lol!

My point was fans always go nuts when it's a public to private xfer. The other types very often go unscrutinized. In Ca, only the public transfers get looked at. Which is bizarre because then the public's get called out for not being able to compete lol

I’ve never understood why the hell anyone would care where someone else’s kid goes to school (athlete or not). Im all for transfers if that’s what skemoene feels is the best situation for their family. Can’t believe the number anti freedom of choice people there are.

But the most ironic thing was they weren't ever transfers. Both had been there since their freshman year, to include their older brother. Per the Sac Bee article, the CIF got a ton of calls complaining about it. The father Ngata was very open in the article with why he sent his kids there and what happened. He talked about where they lived, etc...He didn't have to do that. I think the jealousy thing came into play with the phone calls. I guess that's how you know you're doing good. Thoughts?

All transfers should be treated equally whether it is public to public, private to private, or public to private; especially if you're going to allow publics and privates to play amongst one another for the same trophy. Either apply the rule evenly or scrap it all together.

Transfers are fine, just make them sit out a year like they do in college. Everyone is happy then, the child and family can attend whatever school they would like to improve their situation and competitive balance can still exist. This is America, freedom exist in name only. 😉

So if a parent gets a raise and can now afford to put his child in a better private school, the child should be punished? or if a parent loses his job and can longer pay for private school the kid should be punished? yeah...i'm sure that will work for CIF... If a kid transfers their senior year, kinda hard to play then? Of course a dumb school of response would be then they know they have to sit out so don’t transfer. Honestly just think people should be allowed to pick and choose a school of their choice whether it’s for band, sports, academics or whatever it is for them. 1

FolsomStateTitles
There needs to be one standard across the board if we are not going to separate public and private. If different rules exists for both, they shouldn't be competing against each other. It isn't a level playing field. But if there is one standard or rule for public and private, I am all for it.

CCBlackhatter
I just find it ironic that you private school preppies are ok with denying many many kids "better" academic opportunity, but then it's unconstitutional to tell a kid he can only practice football for a year.

Even more ironic when they brag about beating public schools that operate under a completely different rule set. And then cry on message boards when a kid decides to transfer to a good public school to play football.
