Doing a little research on the guy making this claim about too much regulation.  He is under criminal investigation.  His  casino cost $2.4 billion to open and is described as the biggest Atlantic City casino flop ever.   It never turned a profit and closed two years after opening.  Sounds very "trumpian."

Revel was a historic flop...was supposed to be this amazing casino and it never got off the ground. Last i heard about it some japanese billionaire was supposed to buy it and then have a ferry from NYC to AC. Trump had absolutely nothing to do with the casino. But under NJ regulations AC has been dying

I wasn't implying that trump had anything to do with this casino, just that the results were trump-like.

It's amazing that with such a geographically ideal location between Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York City, that Atlantic City can't make a go of the casino business, while an inland location like Las Vegas can.

AC is legit dying. They have a few casinos that do well...Tropicana Borgata for example but if you walk off the strip its a disaster of a city. Very poor very rundown. The whole city needs to be redone. Las Vegas i guess because they dont have to compete with anything. Like you said AC is trying to compete with Philly and NYC and if your not a gambler your not going to AC
