I agree completely

And I do think our front seven can be a little better next year. We bring back Payne, and three other D linemen, on top of Jennings, Lewis, Miller, Moses, and Mack Wilson. Secondary will need help though. I hope Harrison comes back, he would be a defensive captain for the secondary. But I think it's unlikely

Minkah and Harrison are gone. Bring back a lot tho and if the LB core can stay healthy they will be deep. Lewis Miller Moses Jennings etc etc. Another LB who gray shirted this year is Parks. Just got added to the roster. 4*

Who in the recruiting class of 2018 will fill in at secondary? Any big time blue chippers? I've been behind on this year's class.

Savion Smith....best juco prospect in this class. Came out of IMG originally signed with LSU didnt go there. Went JUCO. Already practicing at Alabama for next year.

Savion Smith is gonna be a superstar. Everything I’ve read said so far has been outstanding. He’s an early enrolled and practiced with the team for the playoffs. Already played SEC atmospheres. Gonna be fun

Excuse my ignorance... what position does he play? Again I've been behind this year on recruiting.

Heres one guy im excited to see grow into a super star, Labryan Ray. He looks like Ashawn Robinson.

Next year's D line- Davis, Ray, Payne, plus Buggs. That's a unit right there.

Put the returning LBs behind them (Lewis, Moses, maybe Holcomb, Miller, etc.), that will be a front 7 to watch. The secondary is my only concern. Wallace was a true lockdown guy this year. Fitz and Harrison patrolled the backfield nicely and they'll have to be replaced. Losing Averett hurts too.

Offense should be just fine if the OL keeps it together and Tua picks up where he left off at QB.

Hes a CB. Alabama has 16 returning CBs on the roster. They are deep. Watch for Parks hes a 4* LB from the 2017 recruiting cycle. He grayshirted this year. Has been practicing so hes another one to add to the LB corps. Alabama has 9 TE on the roster. Can move 1-2 of them to LB if need be lol

The question is, what do we do with Hurts? I say we use him like Ohio state did Braxton Miller. Wildcat QB packages that could be run/throw.

I really think the only thing holding back the 2018 team will be the secondary. If they can regroup and gel before the opener against Louisville, this team will be more complete than 2017. I think Moses will move in as a full-time starter nicely and be the next great inside backer at Bama.

Ah ok that's good. Is Carter going to take over at Harrison's spot? I heard on another board he's like Harrison but a tad smaller and much quicker.

I think we'll be fine at tight end. I wish we would use them more in the passing game, but they had some key blocks last night to help us win.

I wish we used them to catch. OJ howard last year in the open field was very good and they never gave him the ball. Im glad Jalen is done.

He has a big body, I'd try him at WR.  He'd be tough to tackle in the open field.  That's where his future is any way, if he has one.  He's not a QB.

OJ Howard was an elite player, way underutilized. At least we have a true gunslinger at QB now. Tua appears to be a better passer than any Saban-Bama QB.

I hope we do. I'd hate to lose him to transfer. Tua is the better QB but Jalen has contributed to much to the program to leave, IMO.

Jalen seems like a true teammate and if asked to play a different position he would probably do it. Nick Saban had to cut the cord to Jalen and he did it. Had to have been tough. Only chance alabama could come back was to yank Jalen and get him out. UGA had his number

Yeah I think you're right. Any QBs coming in the spring or fall worth keeping an eye on ?

"I think that's a great question," said Kiffin, who recently completed his first season as head coach at Florida Atlantic. "If this second half doesn't flip like this, and Alabama is moving the ball and doesn't change (quarterbacks), people that really know what's going on would tell you that Tua was leaving. Because Tua thought that he should be the starting quarterback and had outperformed him in practice and coach never gave him an opportunity."

"How this second half played out changes college football, because Tua is going to be one of the best quarterbacks in college football. He plays just like Steve Young."

Asked to clarify his remarks that Tagovailoa would have transferred had he not played against Georgia, Kiffin replied, "No doubt."
