Republican Concern

They ran a very flawed senator in Alabama in Roy Moore and lost the seat in the Senate

Now the Sheriff in Arizona who Trump pardoned wants to run for Flakes seat. I know hes close to Trump but i hope Trump reaches out and says stay away. Cant afford to lose Arizona

I'm like the Smokey Bear of politics.

Only YOU can prevent democrat winners in your state.

Knocking on doors, putting fliers under windsheild wipers etc.

Grassroots man. You can do it. Create the spark and start the fire.

McSally will win the nomination pretty easily, as well as the seat. I hope you haven't already shelled out the $$ for a surfboard. xD

More abuse in the NY democratic party. Stealing funds from Hurricane relief. Cant make this shit up

If you think fraud, waste, and abuse is limited to the Democratic party, your head has been in the sand for the last 100 years.

The last republican credit got us into 2 wars, putting trillions of dollars on a credit card. People seem to forget that.

There was a budget surplus before that. If that's not fraud, waste, and abuse, I don't know what it.

You can't make this stuff up.

And your answer to 9/11 would have been???

Remember Clinton could have taken care of Osama bin Laden and didnt.

LOL that wasn't an answer to 9/11. Stop it. Iraq had nothing to do with it.

Afghanistan did though. Kinda like how Bush disguised it tho. War on Terror. Go anywhere where there is terror. But thats a whole different subject and dont really have the time or energy to discuss it. Both sides because there are people involved are fucked up

I'm in Phoenix on biz until Thursday. After walking around downtown just a few minutes, you're right. #CaliLight #only11electoralvotes #goodriddance

Amazing how it doesn't take long being around a certain area to get a feel for their politics.

The gap is closing in quite a few states that were traditionally red but I guess the fad is to call them purple now.

Phoenix  could go blue and the rural areas go red and be largely more energized than the populous areas and the state stays red. I think the truth be told right now, the energized areas aren't the rural areas anymore.

They have the Trump hangover.

When out of town on business, I normally go to a local Starbucks, listen and people-watch. I never buy anything. I just sit there and use their internet. #boycott

I do the same thing. Except not at Starbucks.

I find a breakfast joint where the old folks line up to eat and listen to them. Then around lunch I find another local type place.

That's usually good enough to get a decent cross section of what your dealing with politically while never entering into the fray. Just dine, watch and listen.

Like many that support a socialist government, the attitude is 'why work for it when I can just take it from someone'.

Interesting take.

So why are all the conservative red states, leaders in social programs, such as welfare? These are conservative, free enterprise, anti socialist states. Seems contradictory.

Any explanation?

I'm meeting up with @aZjimbo tomorrow. Parts of PHX are def sketchy. Scottsdale is really nice, though. Never knew ASU was so close to PHX. @Wooderson you around??

I'm here, but my opinion on Phoenix and the surrounding communities is a bit different.  For example I think Scottsdale is an overly-generic shit hole that's good for getting a paternity suit and/or herpes-generally speaking the folks of Scottsdale are nice, but the hype and mystique of Scottsdale makes it the playground for every insecure, over-compensating jackass from one of the other 'burbs.  With the resorts and the restaurants I get the draw for tourists but as a local don't have a lot of time for Scottsdale.  For my money Chandler is superior to Scottsdale in every way minus nightlife.

I lived in the heart of Phoenix for four years and the only incident I had was some jerk-off trying to make off with my truck but not being particularly good at it; of course that happened when I was on business in Oklahoma City and my dad was house sitting for me, so I tend to attribute that to someone taking note that the 6-3, 250-pound 28-year old that normally drove the truck was replaced by a 5-8 guy in his late fifties.  Largely you do what you can to not make yourself a victim, make nice with your neighbors and you're okay.
