I guess. 9_9

Lincoln is currently 10-2 and #5 in NY.

Bayou basketball is just very underrated.  These teams down here have the ATHs and can compete with anyone.

Scotlandville (Baton Rouge) gave current #4  McEachern HS (Powder Springs, Ga.) all they wanted last year losing 52-51 in Atlanta.

Riverside has beaten Scotlandville twice already this year.

High School basketball is much of a myth as high school football truthfully.

Couple years ago Riverside (NOLA) beat (27-4) and #4 NJ and Gill St. Bernard, NJ at the City of Palms tournament in Florida. Riverside went 3-1 in the tourney.

That team was led by 6-8 PF Ricardo Gathers who now currently playing TE for the Dallas Cowboys. xD

Ricardo Gathers didn't play football at Riverside High or Baylor.

Lincoln is always a solid squad.  Them and Jefferson will battle it out by the end of the year to To see who is the best Public school in Brooklyn. Seems like this tourney was a lot of real tight games with good teams.  Always nice to see.

Not Boys and Girls???

The Quarterfinals were tight too. It was a good tournament.

A lot of very good football schools playing quality basketball too in this tourney.

I think Lincoln (NY) was even pretty good last year in football (9-2) anyways.

Quarterfinals

Lincoln (NY) 65, Sophie B. Wright (NOLA) 61

Riverside (NOLA) 74, University High (Baton Rouge) 70

Karr (NOLA) 50, Helen Cox (NOLA) 40

Osceola (FL) 49, Landry-Walker (NOLA) 47

Boy & Girls, NY played in the Sugar Bowl Classic in 2012. John Curtis beat them 71-52. That Curtis team was probably their best basketball team ever though as they went 29-3 and won the 2A state title.....

Boys & Girls ended up #1 in NY per maxpreps.

NY teams like coming to the Sugar Bowl event which is cool.

University School?  that's interesting.   Must have loaded up, but these rankings are hard to judge.   Have a hard time seeing them that high unless they really raided the publics like Dillard etc.

They are legit and stacked.  They won the City of the Palms this year taking out some big boys.

They play Oak Hill next Monday night on ESPNU...

University, FL has the #1 player in the nation in the 2019 class among their cast.

Osceola, FL was loaded too. They have 3 of the best players in Florida in the 2019 class. Edna Karr (NOLA) beating those guys was impressive at the Sugar Bowl.

All these teams have talent that play national tourneys and travel.

They could very well win the myth national championship this year.

They have the wins so far and the remaining schedule.

If they beat Oak Hill I don't see how they can be denied.

Yea st. Anthony's in NJ is gone. Bob Hurley was the coach. Has 1 son at URI another one at Arizona State. Very sad to see. Same with st. Patrick's which is now the Patrick School

Can't give out free rides and expect to survive long this day in time when you are a little school. That was a major part of it.

I'll trust your word. I don't know the situation. I wasn't close to the program. All I know is that they had amazing basketball and gave kids a lot of opportunities. The alumni that are in the NBA could have saved the school.
