Wow! Which song(s) can you not stand?

Robert Plant had a bunch of marvelous solo stuff in the 80s.

Literally pick any of them. Ive listened to so many Zep songs. My uncle is a huge rock fan and he plays it all the time different bands and what not when were chillin at his house. He has a great set up. And so he plays all this stuff and he knows i cant stand it but its his house

I loved the opening. It made me fired up and angry. I wanted to bench a wrench into a horse shoe. Very cool experience.

Do you think Metallica will tour again?

Probably. They had a good show. Like i said Avenged Sevenfold was better though.

Do you know of any big bands touring in 2018?

None that I know of. Most of my favorite bands dissolved a long time ago. I would love to see Robert Plant. I would have loved to see Prince. I have seen Clint Black, who is one of my favorites. I'll have to check and see online who's touring.

Plant came with Zep which of course was as good as it gets

As good as Rod was with Jeff Beck, Robert and Zep took it to another level

Agree that Plant took It to different level.  Remember doing the disco thing and Stewart was great for that time but Zep has staying power.

Btw, what music are you referring to when you say great music comes out daily?  I'm completely out of the loop as far as current music and I'm afraid I have fallen victim to the 'back when i was younger they had great music and today's music sucks' trap.  Mostly listen to older music but am not opposed to hearing new stuff.  Enlighten me please.

A few thoughts.

1 Music is an artistic endeavor which we all interpret, are moved by or reject individually.

2 I think we all "fall out of the loop" once real life demands and challenges take over, generally after we get out of school.  That just means we have to look a bit rather than, as in youth, be exposed to new great sounds socially.

3 music sucks today because we have less identification with it. Our emotions our "life force" wanes as we age. It was that heightened intensity that made the music "better." Not the actual notes, rhythms or timbre.

I can't listen to much Indie no matter how impressive or innovative the sounds. Why? The idea that I am listen to a 35 year old McMansion kid singing about lost love while he lives in "Brooklyn," a place that would have eaten him up and spit him out in a NY minute when Brooklyn was Brooklyn, just does not work for me.

All that said, the best Pop/Rock album of 2017,

Wolf Alice
