The Ben Davis ranking wasn't really on my mind when I posed that question but that's a great example. It seems like after seeing a few answers from you, that there is possibly input from more than one person involved in your poll. Without giving away anyone else's identity or whatever if they don't want it... Are there multiple people involved in your rankings or when you say "we" are you mainly just referring to the site in general as the "we"? Not that it makes any difference, I'm just curious and tossing out questions that seem like others besides myself could be wondering about. as an aside, the Ben Davis coach actually resigned a few days ago. Way to go out on top.

Oh wow! I didn't realize that. Hmm. Is it just that? Or is there something there deeper that maybe created the environment to cause his resignation? Got my investigative reporter hat on still. Sorry. I don't want to derail this, but its interesting a few coaches from successful programs have stepped down recently. The Timpview coach and the Valor Christian coach both stepped down as well. P.S. forgot about the St. X (KY) coach too

What school? I don't blame him for doing that. Many coaches stay long enough to be vested for retirement pensions and then go to a new place to do the same again. Smart actually. I know it's not Thomas County Central, because they stole Valwood's coach. http://www.walb.com/story/37235661/thomas-co-central-names-ashley-henderson-head-football-coach
btango
Just saw where a three time state champion (runnerup a couple of times) in NC left for North Paulding GA. He had 20 years in the system in NC. 30 years is the big number but 20 is not bad and if a teacher does not touch it until they are 62, instead of the normal 52 after 30 years, it is not much difference.
HSFBfan
Coaching is becoming harder and harder to do as the culture of parents and kids change. I think you'll see more and more older coaches leave due to completely different mindsets than the players they are coaching
