Rufus69
Have you been following Colquitt's new potential long snapper? Look's like we just might have found one to replace Mr. Hightower. He's a young one...but he has some talent...and a solid pedigree...(Smile). His daddy graces this board from time to time. Rufus>>
BUFORDGAWOLVES
No, but I hear reds are good eating! Actually met his daddy and I was duly informed that his kid and a kid from Buford are friends! Now, Amigo/Hoss that is compelling news! Well...that's not as bad as his son being friends with a kid from Lowndes or Tift...but I'll have a talk with both of them about the Buford thing....(Smile). Rufus>> I have to be honest and say I haven't been able to keep track of him. I figure some good things to come from them though, especially because they seem to be very dedicated. I know they were planning to hit some camps as well as I mentioned them checking with Danny Copeland down in T-ville. I've heard good things about him as a private coach that works with a lot of linemen as well as other positions.
HawgGoneIt
Some people probably don't think long snappers are that important. I'd reckon that could be why their teams could well be considered subpar. Especially on special teams. Colquitt wins a lot of games in that area while other teams "joke" around with special teams. They also lose a lot of games ur sounding like Rab .. I’m not even trolling.... u guys had back to back plays where you couldn’t count how many players on the field and got a penalty twice Then the following play you committed an atrocious Defensive interference.... The best teams don’t have long snapper as a priority because they don’t punt as often

A team with a weak long snapper will lose a lot of games. If the ball isn't getting where it's supposed to, your D1 type kicker can't kick 50+ yard field goals, or directional kick and pin the opponent deep. Of course not every team thinks of a kicker as a weapon either. And of course teams that aren't concentrating on the kicking game never try field goals or p.a.t.'s either I reckon. No need for long snappers when your kickers have noodle legs and soft toes too.

CEN10 wants to know what this long snapper thing is y'all are talking about. Is it a made up position or another positioned with a different name in GA? Coach Logan is very curious.

If they played defense out there instead of last team with the ball wins, you would know what a long snapper is and why they are important. I know a kid that got a full ride scholarship to a Power 5 school as a long snapper. I guess the college level knows the importance.
