Rufus69
The spring scrimmage....well, I'm being told would be in Mack Tharpe against Grayson....but nothing is cast in stone yet. The August scrimmage should be against Coffee...and possibly in Jardine in Douglas. Not sure where the Corky will be played...but if it's in the heat...I won't be there. it's interesting that Valdosta is traveling to Moultrie again this year. And...we got The Mighty Warner Robins Red Demons up in McConnell-Talbot. I truly dislike that stadium. Not sure where the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP will be played. Yes...I'm still bitter. Is it Spring yet? HawgGoneIt
This is actually a pretty strong schedule in state. Grayson, McEachern, Lowndes, Tift, region 1 AA runner up Thomasville and AAAAA runner up Warner Robins. Not sure what to expect out ot the Missouri school. They seem to be stepping out in the deep. Hopefully they aren't like ISB, and just playing a muscle schedule without the horses.

Same. It's the first year in a while that we don't have 2 oos opponents on the schedule. I know we were trying. Just tough making things happen sometimes. I'm most impressed with 2A Thomasville and 5A Warner Robins stepping up to play a big school powerhouse. And yes, that's a jab at schools like Rome that prefer to schedule the bottom end 7A schools and then thump their chest.

I don't know all of the details, but pretty sure the Missouri school came hunting us. The deal made sense fiscally and came together. Colquitt doesn't just run out and say, I want a Catholic school per se'. Anyway, getting 10 games together gets harder every year.

And OF COURSE, the game is conveniently, at home, in GA. Go figure! Teams in Idaho are better............................... HawgGoneIt
Having Marietta on there may be the only thing they have going for the entire schedule. Common thoughts are that Marietta should be top 5 this season, but, they aren't a traditional power school. Carollton has been on the uptick under Calhoun so, that game could prove to be good as well. Anyway, for a team that had so many people bumping gums for them to be ranked 1 in the state... nah. Lol thanks @HawgGoneIt I'm not hating whatsoever. I'm being honest. The GA posters all threw stones at Folsom for their schedule, yet these schools schedules are worse. Plus the same posters were bumping their chests about OOS games. Turns out they're playing nobody and if they have an OOS opponents, its a cupcake at home. We wont have to schedule much to beat this. Lol.

Then it was "multiple GA teams in the mix." It was 100 percent BS. We all know it was a half ass effort that ultimately ended when all these mysterious teams informed DLS they weren't leaving a 50 mile radius. I think you guys will be lucky to have a schedule as strong as Colquitt's this season, especially by the time playoffs figure in. Colquitt plays in a top five in the country league so that already is giving them a leg up on 90% of the schools around the country. You can hammer away at Rome though. Their stuff is weeeeak! Ya Rome looks like they wanted to stay home from school and watch Barney and Friends on TV. But honestly our strength of schedule solely based on league play will be rated higher than these dumpster fire schedules. Everyone laughed at us scheduling the #2 team in Idaho. Turned out to be pretty good looking at Colquitts schedule of the #2230 ranked team in the country lol
