As a new year inches closer, Americans reflect on the devastating events that made 2017 the deadliest year of mass shootings in modern U.S. history.

According to Gun Violence Archive, a nonprofit organization that continuously tracks gun-related death and injury reports based on official records, there have been 345 mass shootings in America in 2017 alone.

And even more daunting -- two of the five deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history occurred in the span of just 35 days.

Get rid of all guns. No use for them. Especially those AR's.

That's why you will always be, zimbo the clown.

You cannot reason with human beings like you and your cult.

#sad

Anyways, 2018 isn't starting out so great either, like you give a shit.

The liberal answer to violence. Get rid of guns. How about drunk drivers? Let's get rid of cars and booze. How about texting while driving? Let's get rid of all cell phones. Knifings? Get rid of all knives. Tell me about my cult? Does it scare you?

I heard a while back that 'kool aid' was just as good as any bullet....

You think there is any truth to that?

FYI: I'm definitely FOR gun control, and definitely AGAINST gun bans outright...

I am not passionate about gun bans but do feel strongly about gun control, REAL gun control.

How about texting while driving?

a wildly serious problem going largely undressed

has nothing to do with gun issues but thanks for bringing it up

Here is a thought, drunk driven was addressed and a major reduction in drunk driving was achieved, how about we do the same with guns and texting?

All are serious issues.

Nothing about you and your cult scares me except your complete lack of education..

If the bloodiest and deadliest year of mass shootings in our modern history is not important enough for the president to at least spend 3 minutes on during a 90 minute blowhard speech then fuck him! and, you with you knife and texting BS.

Let the president spend all his time recognizing the heros in these tragedies..........clap clap!!

I am not passionate about guns either, but If I can be attacked in my own yard 10 feet from my backdoor by a coyote in the 'wilds of Jersey' then I think we are not quite past the point where us cavemen should throw away our rock tools xD.

Basic protection is a right in my mind.  I would be happy if non-lethal weapons that could take down an elephant were readily available, as then I could probably support a ban on the more archaic 'lethal' ones, but unfortunately we ain't there yet....

just my .02 cents

The Cost of Gun Violence in America: $229 Billion a Year

Isn't that less than what Americans burn in gas sitting at red lights and in traffic??  Where's your priorities man?

But as this number posts as being pulled from someone's arse, I just have to ask ....is this the cost of the bullets and lead.....or just the gunpowder?

Guns are responsible for the death or injury of over 7000 children in America each year. I'm sure that has something to do with it.

BUT, you are a funny guy here. You laughing at yourself yet? You are a riot!

In the real world, you are a punk!

Surely that helps the kids...no?......you see your not very clear as you spew your  'knowledge' (cough cough bullshit)...

I see what you did here Mr. Wile E Coyote. This is a classic use of what is known as a  projection of presuppositions.  :D  It will flip an argument rapidly when applied appropriately.  Well done.

I can solve this Gun Violence B.S. in less than a year.  How about we start charging $15.00 for any Gun.  Well that sounds just damn ridiculous DD.  Oh contraire mon frere :D let this process play out.  Now that you feel I am a complete Moron , I even advocate free gun draws at certain events like a gun lottery.   Now that everyone has weapons, the law abiding, thugs, Gangstas, kids, the Pimps and Hoe's.  Our new National slogan would be Hell I got a gun, You got a gun, We all got a gun.>:(  Wait a weapon without rounds is about as dangerous as a car driven by a drunk without Petro.  Now since everyone needs Bullets a mad rush on rounds will ensue making them scare and in pure capitalism the prices skyrocket.  The more powerful the weapon the higher the cost of the rounds, but that is the 1st part,  1st off each round starts at 200.00 per round at the smallest caliber up to 5000.00 per round for assault weapons limited to 200 rounds per year per owner.  You can only purchase rounds from Government issued facilities with 2 Id cards one of which you only get after going to a weapons safety course and you must have a Ration Card where you cannot purchase more than 200 rounds a year and they must be fired during the course of the year purchased or you will be fined.  Because you have to bring back the same case to purchase your next set.  That way you don't trample on the 2nd Amendment for the Connie Lovers, hell you expand it with dropping weapon prices.  Law enforcement would be the only exempted profession.  We gonna need them to show up when we have a rare shooting due to the shooter cannot afford any other rounds. Most shootings would become justified due to how precious each round is.  Who the hell could afford a random shooting or miss a real target? 9_9 If you violate any of this your weapon would be subject to a trigger lock placed on it sorta like the Drunk equipment used in cars for people who drink and drive.  See I still don't take your arms even when you are plainly stupid and break the rules. 2nd Amendment up in these rules Biotches.  Hell you can even buy all the damn Muskets you want.

I know this is a tad bit drastic, and the Right will scream Socialism.  They hate anything to do with dem dar GunZ.  Yep it sounds pretty ridiculous on the surface.  But you see when ever someone is serious about Gun control you scream more Guns.  I killed that argument and since Rounds actually kill people make those projectiles hard to get.  I don't remember anything in the Constitution about Rounds.  Is it as silly as bickering annually as the death toll rises here because we are addicted to weapons and glorify violence?  I wonder how many public shootings they have in Socialist nations. xD I am sure not many due to food is more important than bullets.  That would make it the same here.  Nothing brings on rational thinking like priorities.

The New President of the NRA would be this dude.  This would be on a Billboard every 20 miles in the USA. As a reminder how much your damn Bullets cost.

Right about there is where I was thinking of the chris rock skit ....before I even saw the pic xDxD

And dude you can laugh but $ control is a great form of manipulative control, works, and bolsters well your latest novel...(so fluffy....could have just used 1 1/2 words....'$ control' ....no? xD)

Reality is any multitude of laws would work to make a safer environment if they were ever enforced properly and were tied to real punishment.....even your latest pipedream would work.

As an opposing pipe dream for comparison....hold on....*takes bong hit.....cheaper to just have the government issue every citizen their own standard issue 'death machine' gun with 'smartfire' technology (retinal/fingerprint  Owner/only firing ability) and a couple rf tagged rounds...penalty for 1st degree murder is death, and all other homicides life imp, wounding or used in any crime 20 years mandatory.....all strictly enforced

So which sounds more effective? To me one sounds less' bulletproof' xD to those nasty 1%ers.....

damn where the hell did that bong go now?....

I just don't see guns as a basic protection but I agree completely with your post as I do realize the emotional comfort they bring to many and that in some areas a gun as protection against nature can be warranted.

The practical side of me knows, if I were a "bad guy" and I was set to victimize you, your gun would be useless.

In fact, you know that couple in CA that was arrested for starving and chaining their children in the news? I saw his neighbor, when they lived in TX, interviewed. The guy said he thought something was wrong and was gonna call the authorities but decided not to as the dad had guns.

So I learned,  guns do protect against people trying to stop you from  abusing your kids.
