Not strong enough academically to get into Colorado State, I see. Good list nonetheless.

:)

Well they’ve got Arjay Jean, DE from STA.  He’ll be a junior this coming season.  Also LB Patrick Moody (moved from CO to SoFL last 2 yrs of HS) attended STA for a short period of time.  Not sure what happened with him as he was starting initially at ILB and then transferred to Vero Beach and opted to commit and head back to CO.

Lastly, a former STA pitcher Alec Byrd was drafted by the Rockies last year. :)

Opportunity to play right away and a top notch quality education would be my answer.(provided the student can do the work)

What's the percentage going to pro camp, and making the roster less than 2 %?

Ivy leagues will be your mid major caliber competition while Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Cal Berkeley are some of your Power 5 academics.

Service academies, that's a whole level of rigor and the commitment following it.

Rice and Vandy acceptance rate is around 17%, Purdue is around high 50% but considered a rigorous academic.

And SEC sharing in just under $41 million in tv revenue this year.  There's benefits to the competition at a Power 5, you may make some noise but pretty unlikely to contend for Championship.
