They need to do something in that area.  That's their only weak point on defense.  ↳

They've had a lot of PI calls recently. Their secondary looks good on paper. A lot of athletes with experience. Yet teams have been able to move the ball through the air, in one way another. I'm not sure what to make of it.

They still have a tackling problem, past the D-Line they are suspect, they lack the sure tackling physical play in the back 7 that they always had….

The freshman #45 looks to have lots of potential at LB but is inexperienced and the other LB #44 has great instincts and is always around the ball but misses too many tackles and has trouble shedding blocks at the point of attack….

If they had any kind of passing game though, they would have no issues because they have so much speed on offense they could put 50+ on almost anyone, and make it look easy, their offense is that good!….

They have one of the best running QB’s I have seen at DLS with full command of the offense, except he cat hit wide open receivers and try’s to force throws…. OLine and backs are excellent….

This London academy game will tell a lot…. Then the SRV game will be a big deal…. Marco Jones form SRV who is committed to A&A for Both FB and Baseball is an absolute monster!…. His teams have almost beat DLS the last 2 seasons….

Will be interesting to see how these next few weeks unfold, The open is no guarantee for The Spartans they have some tough games ahead….

It has been a strange year, hasn't it?

It's hard to get a sense of this team. They've got some clear strengths and weaknesses, but there are also a lot of question marks. And now they're in a part of their schedule where those questions aren't going to be answered.

They should have put up 50+ on a very good EL Cerrito team that has won back to back section titles but DLS just made too many mistakes….

DLS Defense Dropped 3 or 4 INT’s and Offense had 2 long TD’s Called back, 1 passing by the Back up QB on a questionable offensive PI and a Run on what looked like a bad call for holding….

So yes, definitely hard to get a sense of the team….

Totally understand the stances that the other teams in the league are taking. Honestly surprised other schools/leagues don't do that vs the two heavyweights lol

Does Narbonne have a bunch of mid-season sit out transfers this year or something?

This hardly screams resume of an "all star team"

If they are doing what the letter states then they are really bad at recruiting and aren’t reaping the benefits of their alleged discretions. How would the school benefit at all from a pay to play scheme? The teams that they played with a pulse blew them out. They may be good in the LA city section (which hasn’t meant a damn thing since Crenshaw was good some years ago) but are mediocre in Cali as a whole.

I don't know what to make of this game. I was assuming that it wouldn't reveal much about DLS since their opponent and the conditions for the game are both so unusual.

What do you know about it?

It’s going to be wonky because it will be played Tuesday at 10am pacific time due to the time change…. DLS is already overthere, I believe they left on Monday…..

DLS should win, I was told the London team played Massillon from OH this year and lost 35-20, they run pretty simple schemes but mainly pass with decent QB and a couple of Big WR’s and have some talented players and a couple of real Dudes on Defense….

They are probably equal to something like a top 10 or so Nor Cal team was how they were described to me the other day….

I would think that since they have never played against anything like the Speed and power of the DLS veer that the Spartans should win by a couple of TD’s as long as the Defense doesn’t fall apart…. The team is super fired up for this so I think they will play well….

Not sure what else to make of the whole thing but will be a great overall experience for the kids, unless of course they lose, then no one at DLS will be happy…. 🤣

Do you know anything about the organization that's funding the game? Sometimes DLS can't afford to get to Utah. How are they getting to London?

I've heard the phrase "the NFL Development League" being thrown around. Is the NFL funding this in an effort to get Europe or at least the UK interested in the NFL? Is the NFL funding high school football programs in the UK?

Maybe, it would leave too much room for skeptics to start picking them apart.

They can if they want to. MD is undefeated and has the best win in the country at this point in the year. I just want them to win every game by 1 point. Slow first half after a bye week. Would have been 24-10 at half but a TD on the last drive was called back because of an illegal man down field. I’ll pull a Texas on this one, if everything went perfect, this game would be a blow out!
