The game between West Orange,FL and McKinley,OH has been called off. Not sure the details, but SportsNut25 posted it on the Florida board per twitter. They are playing Dr Phillips instead

McKinley is playing Dr. P or West Orange is?

Solid in state game but sucks that we won't see West Orange play oos

They usually a solid team but probably don't get a lot of attention nationally because they usually stay with in state games

Yeah FL and GA have a couple teams like that.

McEachern comes to mind in GA. They are always good, but they NEVER play OOS... So people dont really recognize them or talk about them as much.

Im glad to see Wekiva & North Gwinnett playing OOS, although I wish they were each playing an OOS team from somewhere else instead of each other.

Glad to see Archer go OOS, even if its just against Spartanburg. Maybe thatll lead to more OOS games in the future.

Marietta is extremely new to Georgias Top 10... So new they still havent been Top 10 in GA yet for a long time, but the 1st year they are expected to be... They schedule St. John's & Good Counsel. In 2018, if teams like Archer, Walton, Colquitt, Blessed Trinity, McEachern, & Rome wouldve schedule TOP OOS teams... Wed have a lot more nationally recognized teams this season... Bc all those teams are gonna be good. Archer plays Spartanburg, and Colquitt plays Trinity Catholic.. But thats not gonna garner as much respect as playing a team like DeMatha, or St. Johns, or BG would. The thing is, we have a lot of teams that could beat all those squads...

Georgias OOS slate this year is most definitely on the up and up though...

Trinity Catholic (MO) has a chance to prove themselves though... They play East St. Louis IL & Elder OH ... Itll be cool to see how Colquitt does compared to those 2 teams. TC catches Colquitt at the best time they possibly could though, at the beginning of the year. TC is very talented, if they can put it together they can beat 1 or 2 of those teams...

I would respect any team willing to take on any of those 3 as oos games

Saint Frances (MD) hosting Doral Academy (FL) on 8/24 and hosting Saint Joseph's Prep (PA) on 8/31

Wow I'm suprised about St Joes. Usually they try and catch teams on a down year.

Doral Academy is this years Jones. A bunch of studs but no meaningful wins. Got destroyed by STA. This game will be a running clock. Only Florida can send the Pop Warner teams to play the Philadelphia Eagles

Didn't they catch St. Francis on a down year though?

Something about a different qb or something?

SJP continues their scheduling streak.

Omg.... We have a Kansas OOS game! A top Kansas team! Nobody really knew how good Bishop Miege was last year... But!!!

Rockhurst MO @ Bishop Miege KS (9/28)

I feel like we had a KS game last year. I'll check to be sure.

Edit.

Nope it was KY carry on.

A 5-5 Kansas team did play a top 300 nationally team losing 49-35

Shawnee East,KS only lost 21-17 to Rockhurst,MO who finished 224th nationally.

Heres some perspective.

#224 Nationally Rockhurst,MO beats #1,272 Nationally Shawnee East,KS 21-17

#224 Nationally Rockhurst,MO beats #37 Nationally ranked Bentonville,AR 35-7

Indeed!! #PGL

Nice work.

STM was a basketball school for the last few years, but the new coach stepped up the recruiting last year and pulled together a nice squad. They are also playing Hun, three Canadian teams, and three very good NEPSAC Class A teams in Choate (39-game winning streak), Cheshire Academy and Suffield Academy (won the New England 7on7 title).
