Colquitt has a pretty good returning defensive group. A lot of kids were cycled this past season. I think more than 20-25 kids played defense in quite a few games. We have a linebacker or two or three. One of them has a great linebacker last name... Kubiak. Remember that name. He’s extremely physical player who does a nice job of redirecting the receiver with his guide hand. Ward does a great job of getting inside positioning on the receiver. And really attacks the pass. He shows really good instincts reading the play, and does a fantastic job gauging the pass and reacting to it. His attacking mindset on jump balls gives him a better advantage a lot of times than the WR. Ward is a lockdown CB, who fits in well at the boundary position.
