Very true.

The intent was good and It has helped millions.

Unfortunately, it also has enough downside to make it's revamping a necessity.

I have been helped by the ACA.  Not going into details but it has been great.

I understand how it has affected some people negatively but our health care before the ACA was horrible.  Rates rising over 30% per year before and now rates are rising lower at around 20 %.

We could be so much further as a country right now if our elected idiots would work to fix what's wrong.  The ACA has Republican ideas in it...until Obama wanted health care for the millions of people without coverage, then those same ideas were now bad.

Personally I want everyone to have health care and don't care where those ideas come from that can make that happen.

How did support for Trump even get introduced into this?

NOR: Perhaps you should simplify how you present these questions? Otherwise you will continue to get more mindless "I love Trump, You hate America" banter.

The answer is always "gay Muslim pastries".

I might have left out a few thousand words, but that's the nutshell.

Why are we so dependent on the govt ??? "Personally I want everybody to have healthcare"?... Good, then you pay for those others as I don't want to... I pay my own way and don't want the govt to control me or the Dr's I choose.. If the govt controls your healthcare, then they control you.. We are like Sheep ....cage me,feed me, take care of me, give me free housing, food stamps, medical care and I am yours.. Not me.. America is replete with idealists who are becoming takers rather than being makers..

You versus The Healthcare Industry is a terrible matchup.

Might want some back up there drummer.

You don't have the slightest clue on my sutuation or how it has helped me nor do you have any knowledge on the ACA or how health care works.  Who was running your health care before the ACA?  I'll bet you are stuck on that one so I'll help you out.  Insurance companies that's who.  Yeah they are much better at choosing doctors and denying coverage, not to mention their rate increases which were much worse than the ACA.

Seriously, it is the GOP ideas that are the problems in this act.

That was Obie's screw up. He compromised away the teeth of the bill and it has made a mess....  he did not have to. He got zero republican votes in the end anyway.

As to the outcry against Obie Care, it's a mantra used to disguise racism and  social change fears more than anything else.

Look at the awful stuff a great guy like Bull writes, believes. Obiecare hate is largely a successfully orchestrated marketing campaign by the GOP.

That said, yes, in general it is a terrible bill with a few very good attributes.

Because we can't trust one another and government serves the greater good, when not perverted by our elected representatives

You really want weekly food poisoning .as was the case pre the FDA?

You really want to be buying "tonics" for serious diseases when you are desperate to save your life?

You really want kids working 15 hour days? You really want grandma starving and dying a decade early because she has no healthcare?

And no one pays their own way. We are all inter dependent. It is the nature of life itself. All government strives to do is look for the greater good.

To think you are independent and self reliant makes most feel warm and fuzzy... even replaces lost testosterone as do guns.... but, fact is,  none of us are

This part, "cage me,feed me, take care of me, give me free housing, food stamps, medical care and I am yours." sounds like an add for the army.

Think about it.

It is truly amazing the trash you posted here. I will not even bother to tell you the amount of people I have talked to that this legislation has done harm to. One quick example, family of 4 on the ACA, $2200 PER MONTH and the deductible was I believe $11K. Yep blame that on the GOP. "If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor". LIE. Most people will see a deduction of $2500 etc. LIE.

My health insurance from 2015 to 2016 went up 30% with ZERO claims. 4/1/17 it is going up again. How much? No one knows but one number thrown around was 116% increase. Yes you read that correctly.

Why are so arrogant to think I am talking about you????  Many people want govt healthcare and the fact you said, EVERYBODY SHOULD HAVE GOVT HEALTHCARE MADE MY STATEMENT COME TRUE....  What country with over 325,000,000 people has quality healthcare???  No, I want private sector insurance where I can choose Dr,s ,hospitals and specialists.. I hate govt intervention into my healthcare and other areas.. I also am a strong believer in stand your ground and the 2nd amendment. Now stop bugging me with your world citizen liberal sentiment...

2nd amendment? How dangerous are you? We need a gun free society with stricter gun laws. Like Chicago. See how well that has worked?

Thank you

It is good to have ones insight admired.

BTW, somehow you missed it, Obiecare is a disaster as is. I do not disagree.

If only two choices existed, tear it up and go back to how things were or keep it as is, I'd tear it up,

---------------------------

What I do find interesting is that you are concerned about the cost of your healthcare but not about the cost of your oil or gas. (in other thread)

Just like Savage has said: liberalism is a mental disorder.

hard to have a reasoned conversation starting from such an emotional point

What say Savage about communism, totalitarianism, Confucianism, Catholicism, Islam?

My guess is that he views each in line with his individual perceptions and none with reason or objectively.

Personally, I do not value what is said from people moved by emotion over reason.

Never said I want "gov't health care". I said I wanted "health care" for everyone.  But hell they are just words right? Just pick which ones you want to read and forget the rest.  And...WTF does guns have to do anything being discussed.

Stop bugging you w/ my world citiizen liberal sentiment?  You responded to something I posted and I'm bugging you?

How about this.  Don't respond to my post and if you do, please come with an actual intelligent, well thought our statement.

Let me ask you a question. Do you see any kind of connectivity between people on this planet?  Does a persons joy or sadness have an affect on you in any way. Do you see yourself in any other person? Do you understand at all what these questions are asking of you? I will await your thoughtful reply.

There already is "health care for everyone." I assume you mean "health insurance for everyone."
