I'll agree with the top 10. Not many state have the depth that Texas does just mainly due to sheer size and participation.

Absolutely correct.

What most fail to acknowledge is that Texas and California are really the equivalent of complete sections of the US.

While anyone who knows football understands that the culture of the sport in Tx is light years ahead of the rest of the county ( as of this era ), when one travels from Dallas to the Permian Basin, its like you entered another country so to speak.

A much more realistic comparison to talent would be comparing a region comprised of several states such as Ohio, IL, MI and IN for example... or  MD, VA, NJ etc. That in reality is the equalizer.

Texas has many many good teams they don't have to do anything out of state if they don't want to.

Texas has way more good teams and really don't have to do anything OOS although fans love watching our teams kick the crap out of top ranked teams from other states.

DLS #1 ranked in the nation goes down in a blaze of glory to unranked Euless Trinity Texas.

Bellevue #4 rank nationally gets routed by unranked 4 loss Katy Texas.

Unranked Euless Trinity goes to Washington to play #4 ranked nationally Bellevue. The game was tied at the end of four quarters Belleview wins in overtime..

Euless Trinity goes to Arkansas to play Shiloh Christian. Both teams are top nationally ranked. Trinity wins 80-20.

Katy Allen Trinity and Longview have beatdown so many other states state champions.

Yet, SJB and MD will go travel all over to play games that don’t prove nothing to Texans and they will take those games without return game most of the time. Then when team like Duncanville who is willing to play anyone - They make excuses to why they want play.  Instead DV will end up playing elite team from the east coast this coming 2020 season who willing to travel for less money.  It’s kinda ironic that it comes down to money when that has been the biggest reason Texas teams don’t travel across the country.  Where is all that private sponsor money?

watching MD play MV right now it’s kinda funny to watch MV try to play man coverage against these guys. 
 

MD has not played team that is as complete on both sides of the ball as DV and that Includes SJB.

Its damn shame that MD and or SJB didn’t jump all over the opening that DV is willing to give to elite OOS team this next season.

We already proved it this year by one of our good teams beating a superstar team way worse  did all the other  top 10 ranked teams except MD

It is widely accepted that top to bottom Texas is the deepest state in HS football. But it has never been widely accepted that the top teams in Texas are the best in country.  Even before these collective  All Star teams have been assembled. You guy live off that one aberration of Trinity beating  DLS first game of season , or this season DV beating a 7-5 SJC.  You hide behind your teams beating each other, much like the Big 10, or SEC does often in college football, only to get exposed in the end when they go out an play other conferences in Bowl season.  Some years Texas has had some great teams, and some years they aren't so great. I think you need to acknowledge this a little more, since there is hardly any oos to  to go by.
