Dude he was helping to deregulate everything

Yeah, that's the problem.  Selling out to the mega corporations for lower standards of air quality, water quality, drilling for oil, coal production, and other mining companies, automobile gas mileage, etc.  Yeah, what could possibly go wrong?  I hope you don't live downstream from a coal processing plant.

When you deregulate big business you end up with robber barons and monopolies.  Robber barons thrived because there was no regulation.  With little or no regulation you end up with monopolies, which are not good for the public or country.

I live 20 minutes from a nuclear plant. Not worried about it one bit. I am all for business that need to do what they need to do to thrive. China is not worried about air water etc and they have the jobs. As people here worry about this stuff we are going to fall further and further behind. I dont like this decision by Pruitt but hes the one who made it. Let's see who the next EPA leader will be

Yes China is worried about clean air and water.  You literally have no idea of what you are talking about.

Detegulating IS what is putting us behind everyone else.  Everything Stanscript said was true about deregulation.  Companies are not hurt by regulations and either is the economy.  Its actually the opposite.

What do you have against clean air and water?  I understand why Republicans deny science, say the hell with the emvironment and it's bc they are being paid by big business.  But why do you  go along with them?  Do you not care about our environment?  Do you not believe in science?

If you really believe big business will do the right thing and not dump God knows what into streams and rivers you are completely naive.

No I dont believe business gives a damn about anything other than profits. That's the bottom line its about profits. So they are gonna do whatever it is they are gonna do to make those profits. China has one of the most polluted cities in the world. China has the 9th and 10th most polluted cities in the world. And we all know the deficit the USA is in when it comes to China. I believe that business will do whatever it is they need to do to make money and because they make money we have jobs

But NO charges for ALL of the Barack Hussein's and Hillary's campaigners RIGHT?

Wow.  I could imagine the chaos that went down at the rab home the night of the 2008 presidential election, when you had realized you just got a BLACK president!!  It must have been the most epic breakdown.

So will the next guy.

He does not understand that it's about propriety. Scott Pruitt was doing what any Trump appointee would. But he was also using his position for personal profit at an unprecedented rate. Hopefully, his successor will be respectful of the public purse.

Well if he was using his position for personal gain than I agree with what you saying. I was talking about what Pruitt was doing with the job title and I liked what he was doing. But as for the personal gains stuff no u cant do that

Pruitt finally became more trouble than he was worth. Some of it was unfair attacks, but the bulk of it was his own doing.

Trump shouldn’t have much trouble finding a replacement who will carry out his wishes without abusing the office every other week. No big loss.

If a restaurant along a major highway keeps producing food that makes people sick, the locals stop eating there.  If there is still enough freeway generated business to keep them making a profit, by your definition they should stay open and unregulated because they are producing a profit and are keeping waiters, cooks and busboys employed.  So, it's OK if they keep making people sick as long as they make a profit and employ people.

Great.

Great.

HSFB Fan has a very narrow perspective on things. I have stopped trying to get past this as I don't think he is capable of changing it.

They wear mask everyday in China.

The fish you eat are subject to the run-off created by deregulation of farming guidelines.

The ground water supply, in danger.

The human race, in danger

Having been to China, this is so only in the larger cities. And not everyone does. More importantly, the Chinese government is actually trying to address the country's pollution problem. It may not be enough, but at least they are not climate change deniers.

I understand. Thing is, he does not understand what I am saying.

He thinks the deregulation is a good thing.

No thought to the environmental impact.

His outlook on life is a very narrow one. It's hard to progress when you blinker your thinking to the extent he does. You usually see that kind of personality in older folks, those proverbially set in their ways.
