It did to a degree...

$$$$$

Not a bad gig for age 18-23, true.  His bonus was about 200 grand more than the avg.  His signing bonus was 775K for the 3rd round and I also read that his college tuition would be paid for per contract as well by the Phillies... but he won't need it at this time as Auburn has him on full scholarship.   The last I read on him was schools offering preferred walk-on status.    He has 5 years eligibility to play 4.  How old was Chris Weinke as a senior at FSU, 28?

Golf, how are you and hope all is well....I saw Sanberg play against Bosco and after he went to baseball my thought was, "he's smart, because football is not his future"...

I disagree. I saw Cord play at least three times (could have been four), and I though he had a great future in football. Not only did he have sufficient athleticism, but I thought he had a good head, good beyond his years. I understand why he went baseball, as it provides a potentially longer career. However, I think he could have had a very good football career at least through college.

I saw him up close and I was impressed...I think he could become a college starter in the future...

All good and hope you’re doing well (at the casinos too ;)). Sandberg will likely be red shirted this year.

Redshirt freshman DeVito I read today is doing well and pushing the senior projected starter a bit.  DeVito might see a good amount of action this season depending on how things go.
