http://fortune.com/2017/01/25/donald-trump-mexico-wall-cost/ is from Fortune magazine and projects the total cost of "the wall" as approximately $25 billion dollars including land acquisition, labor and materials.  There are 122 million Americans who pay Federal income tax.  https://www.reference.com/government-politics/many-u-s-taxpayers-d77a9265390f4bdb This is an average of $205 for every single tax paying American.

The President of Mexico confirmed tonight that Mexico will not pay for the wall in any way.

We will pay for it.  $205 each.

NOTE:  promise this is my last post about Trump for at least a couple of weeks.  Thank you.

Well... If the president renegotiates NAFTA, and gets a better deal for America in the negotiations, this could account for paying for some of the wall's cost by Mexico. Of course, there could/would be long term "unintended" effects, but that isn't spoken to. It will take a long time to recover the funding for sure.

You guys are acting like he claimed Mexico would write us a giant Publishers Clearinghouse check before construction even started.

It's gonna be a long four years at this rate...better start thinking about pacing yourselves a little.

Dude, he said Mexico would pay for the damn wall period.

What's wrong with you?

with all respect, isn't this what we were sold? Not that I ever bought it but certainly vast areas of the toothless populous did.

The sell was that Mexico would pay for the wall. Reimbursement options were discussed well before the election.  Several highly viable options are on the table to see that they do. I guess we'll find out together if it comes to pass.

Your elitism is showing through again. Unless you were talking about Chip, in which case...carry on. :D

Trump, did NOT say Amercia would pay for the damn wall and he would try to get some Mexican money at a later date, if possible.

You suck at listening to what people actually say.

The campaign was talking at length about reimbursement options well before the election.

Rage on, Chipster. xD

good, I try to be even keel but I have not abandoned my tribe and Trump's first few days have been very disappointing to me.

Not so much in his actions, he won fair and square but in his on going stupidity. "Alternative facts" crowd sizes, greatest speeches ever...

Fair enough I guess. If you think that's sufficient justification to call 60+ million people the "toothless populous," then it appears the lessons of this election may have been lost on you.
