Let’s settle this now. Midway will have one of the best defenses across the state. Trinity brings the 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense. A team that hasn’t been worth a shit in years.

Lets settle this now, eh? I dont think a forum vote is going to decide which team is better.

Echs why don’t you give us a list of both teams D1 offers

Neither team has any players with star rankings ... Not much to give ...

Waco Midway:

CB Trevius Hodges - Texas St. Offer

Their RB may get offers soon...

Euless Trinity:

WR Keanu Hill - BYU & Wyoming Offer

S Sebastian Tauaalo - Air Force Offer

Waco Midway lost a lot of star players this past season.

Even though these schools are in 6A there are distinct size advantages which allows more depth.  TX really could have another class, 7A.  ET is not small, 3400 and midway is about 2400.  With these disparities in size, I go with the bigger school for above reasons. (Bigger schools usually win)  Give me ET.

Then I find I hard to believe that WM will have one of the best defenses in Texas. Didn’t someone say that?

Call me crazy, but I envision a ho lotta lotta talent on one of the “best defenses in Texas”. Are they just not being reported?

They're not the best defense.  Last year they had more talent than this year and was losing in the title game going into the 4th 44-7 before fair called off the dogs.  Cy fair obliterated them.   It was another mega 6A school beating up a smaller 6A.

Ahhh. I guess someone’s just feeling optimistic. I’m going with ET in this one.

Maybe they're the Lovejoy of Texas?

Could be.

There actually is a Lovejoy in Texas:

They also played majority of last season without starting QB.  Had the best name in sports.

Bumper Poole

Now at Arkansas

Keep an eye on him.

Well, not that Lovejoy.

I was on about the Lovejoy from Georgia with the two or more guys that have 22 offers and no stars.

Where the lines run 4.3 40's and all.

That Bumper Poole kid owes his parents something bad for that name.

That formula reminds me how I pick the NFL games during a pool. I usually pick the team with the much better quarterback. And if the QBs are close I go with the better defense.

Seems like in Texas if the teams are perceived to be close in quality, then choose the larger enrollment.

Im going with Trinity on blind faith, and assuming they don't have a fan boy named Big Hairy Ball Sack!!!!!

Not only that but ET returns 9 starters most of them on the OL/DL.  That's their bread and butter and towards the end of the season last year those units were pretty good. They also return their QB.

Trinity's QB stats for this game will be:

2-9 for 8 yards and a TD.

He'll somehow have 60 rushing.
