noonereal
I read this on a user profile on AllMusic, I started to laugh out loud. Not that I agree or disagree but I just found it ironic that most people feel that way about "their era." Typically the music of their youth, their coming of age. What say you? Do you really believe the music era you fancy is "better?" I used to believe that. Now I know I was simply to immersed in one era. To emotionally invested to realize it was not the music alone and that the best ever music is made daily. And always has been.
aZjimbo
90's best era for music ever? That is more than hilarious.
Nolebull813
90's would actually make a great case for all genres combined. Rap/Hip Hop was at its best by far. Country music was really country music. Not pop crap. Rock/Alternative was holding its own with legendary bands. 70's and 80's would be the only 2 other decades that could compete but I feel they were more 1 sided decades. 80's with pop and 70's with rock it's all preference. I was raised in the 90's. My 82 year old grandma would say the 50's was the best decade. Lol

ChimpGrip
The 90s...an era when Tommie Frazier and the huskers were running over college football, kids played outside every day, and the last decade of good country music. Coletrain06
I would have loved to grow up in the 60-70's. Pretty much every family member, and pretty much all of their friends, and most people they knew that grew up in that era......play intstruments or sing.......and most of the ones that don't still went to a lot concerts and had a love of the music scene. It's hard to find people my age in everday interactions that I can REALLY discuss music with........It seems much more of a pigeonholed interest nowadays.

These 2 decades were way more influential then the 90's music scene and it's not even close.

HawgGoneIt
I think as with most everything, coming to terms with which decade of music was the best will be very subjective. Personally some of my favorite music came from the 90's, but of course I loved the Alternative genre. I could just sit back and spend the rest of the evening listening to this playlist and probably hit repeat. R.E.M. Oasis The Verve Radiohead Nirvana Train Smash Mouth SoundGarden Counting Crows Matchbox 20 Blink 182 Alanis Morrisette The Cranberries I don't know guys... I can talk myself into believing that if we toss the Spice Girls and give them to the 2000's maybe the 90's is right there as some of the best music.

HawgGoneIt
I think that narrowing our choices to a specific decade is a little unfair. haha If I could take the last 5 years of the 60's and the first five years of the 70's, that's a pretty good 10 years there too. Another on my list that you reminded me of I love that song too bro! There was simply too many groups coming out of the woodwork in the 90's to remember them all. The Grunge movement from Seattle was pretty good as well. There was some decent rap hitting around that time too. Ice Cube, Snoop, Redman, 2pac and Biggie. I was more of an 80's rap fan than the nineties though.
