He was an early commit and Michigan never wavered, choosing him and a 4 star rb in the '17 class... and Harbaugh visited him recently with something in his pocket that we are unsure about and he wasn't just happy to be there lol.   That clinches it for me.

Agreed, shit his soph highlights were impressive.

This year is make or break, it's in Felipe Franks or Kyle Trask's hands.   Both look promising, but I hope Franks comes through.  He has the most potential @ 6'6 200+lbs and a cannon.   Thing is you can have all the measurables, but 90% of it is above the shoulders.   Hope he's a student of the game!

Also, these will be coach Mac's first qbs that he actually recruited.  He's got a lot riding on them!

It still has him at Newton on 247s site, but he played for Grayson this year.

Split carries with Jamyest Williams (who is prob. my favorite HS player-now FBS player)

the most underrated recruit on West Monroe's team had to be Robert Scott Foust QB 6'4" 200.  He was the backup in most games and really didn't get to have a Senior year...  for that reason he chose Navarro Junior College in hopes of catching a bigger school's eye (his other offer was Stephen F Austin).  Good arm, he could shine in the right scheme, I wish he had been our starter this year...

UF commit Shawn Davis,  6-1 195lb  DB from Miami Southridge.   Kid is a 3* rated at 5.6 by rivals.   GTFO with that!

I just can't get over Shawn Davis though.   UF got a ton of 4* DBs and I might be most excited about him, and that's saying a lot because I love the Dbs we've gotten.   Like the kid fro LA a lot too.  Both Davis and Brad Stewart can play CB and safety.   Love that versatility.

Lol 2nd day of practice!  3 star SMH.   So what if there was a PI lol.  This kid can play!

He wasn't the best fit in Grayson's system last year but he's a good talent. Ive been told Grayson RB this year Ronald Thompkins is better than Taylor. (Thompkins played back up to Taylor and came in during blowouts. Does have an LSU offer)

taylor will get carries in Ann Arbor and catch out of the backfield. Not sure if he'll ever be the guy tho

Totally agree that 90% is above the shoulders. Doug Flutie is a great example at 5'9", He played like he was 6'10". Best under rated QB ever in my book. But size can win games... Some QB's are better Fullbacks that manage the game. A great QB must be able to see everything at a glance, make that quick response when the receiver is open, and have a great accuracy. Very few have all 3 in high school, but a great coach can develop the talent if it is there. Size is a gift to a great QB.

Agreed, but now we have a little xfactor.   Finally have a guy that can create with his legs, but I fear he 's a better runner than passer.  It'll be interesting to see who gets the start.   Gotta feeling it's gonna be Zaire.

I agree with GardenStateBaller.

These sites are using how hot the recruitment is from a number of schools. Sometimes they give kids stars on what they expect might happen and then, if it doesn't happen they adjust. Other kids playing that position are getting more heavily recruited. Doesn't mean they are better, just that maybe someone is working the phones etc. more on their behalf.
