Texasball
These # are not correct. If you will click on each state on the link that Cajun posted in the other thread - you will see that MaxPreps is only using HS Sr players. Plus you can see the player and where each of them committed.

Connman
I guess with the wildly different numbers from Golf and Echs this proves that there is such a thing as alternative facts! ?
Texasball
The original link is really good that Cajun posted from MaxPreps. You just need to go to the drop down box at the top of the page. You can break down by each region within each state. Then it actually has link to each kid. This is easily the best list with the most detail. MaxPreps max suck at ranking teams, but this is job well done. Thanks Cajun for posting! golfaddict1
I started with NJ because it was 3 off and less recruits http://www.scout.com/college/football/recruiting/2017-football-prospects?signed=true&league=JUCO&homeStateAbbreviation=NJ The list that Caj/Echs/TXball whomever is touting shows 3 Juco commits! Unless Scout.com is wrong (which I doubt), NJ's total is 55, not 58... exactly the same as my # above. Someone else do another state. Texasball
Scout is off...Maxpreps has every player listed and does not include any Juco players. Go to the link in the other thread. Go to the drop down box and choose the state. Then another drop down will appear and you can see the league's with in the state and all the player links and schools are listed for you. I went through the Texas list and scout is way off. Scout only uses the data base of players they have profile on. If you go to 247 their #'s are much better because they have bigger data base of players they started with.

Reality check... did you even look at the list of 97 recruits from LA? I suppose Damian Williams is a senior at Rummel HS? As expected, the list showed 7 Jucos and 1 graduate transfer (Damian Williams). 97 - 8 = 89 2017 fbs recruits who are HS seniors! I had 86 recruits total above with 5 commits possible (3 added where Scout.com did not show a signing, Jordan at Kansas, Marbles at ULM and Murray New Mexico. I'm two for two... LA - 86 (5) LA-Monroe (2), South Alabama, Kansas, Alabama * Scout.com shows Murray with a ULM commitment but he signed with New Mexico 7 Jucos listed in the supposed "factual list" Josh Curry, Jordan Baldwin, Kevin George, Quondarius Qualls, Isaiah Buggs, Delmond Landry and Keeyon Smart

When looking at the list from - Texas you will see commit listed for the players going to the academies Air Force, Navy, Army - that's how it works with the service academys - It is all legit - I didn't see any Jr. College Players on Max Preps - They actually show you list of the HS leagues and regions they played in. It's really good information. The Scout list is simply incomplete of all the names and it has been that way for several years.

golfaddict1
If my brain was not on cruise control, my guess would be TX will have 366 + whatever of the 15 on Scout signed NLI's. If I had to guess, I'll say 376. 10 of 15. For NJ and LA I cross-referenced the names on the linked list with scout.com's and thus far the only difference has been in the () as expected. Scout may have updated this data, not sure. Fact: The linked list showing 401 for TX includes Jucos. I checked the first 2 on the list from scout and they were on the linked list. Fact: I have not presented an actual total yet other than for NJ and LA... hence the (). I will though and as per above, I'm going to guess TX at 376. It may very well be the 395 that you see vs my guess of 376 are jucos. look at the link above of the jucos I shared from scout and cross reference those names to the linked list and you'll be pretty close to accurate. I'm doing Bama next. I need to build up my endurance for the bigger numbers...
