TheRealCAJ
NOLA Catholic League has a great race going on. Rummel beat Curtis yesterday 3-2 and play Curtis again today. League Championship will be decided today/tomorrow. Last game/s. Catholic League Standings Top 3 1-John Curis 9-2 (Rummel, today) 2-Archbishop Rummel 8-3 (Curtis, today) 3-Holy Cross 8-3 (St Aug, tomorrow) Rummel Raiders!
TheRealCAJ
Curtis/Rummel Notable NOTABLE This is the last district series for both teams. Entering this matchup, both teams were in the top 5 in the power ratings. Tuesday’s win makes Wednesday’s rematch a big one, as the Raiders can force a tie at the top. If Rummel wins and Holy Cross is able to beat St. Augustine, the Raiders, Tigers and Curtis would share the title.
Reb72
Believe it or not, even though I've been hyping my Rebs they still have not yet won the district. My Rebs 12 - 0 in district play start a series against 2nd place Alexandria Senior 9 - 3. This series decides our district as well.
Reb72
West Monroe takes game 1 of the 3 game series 18 - 2 at 2nd place ASH and moves to 30 - 2. More importantly the game gives the Rebs the district title and secures a spot in the playoffs 2 more games to go against the Trojans, a double-header at West Monroe tomorrow... Reb72
last 2 games of the regular season today, double-header at 4 and 7 against 2nd place Alexandria Senior. Hopefully the Rebs don't have a let down after beating ASH 18 - 2 yesterday and winning the District crown and securing their playoff spot. TheRealCAJ
Curtis wins NOLA Catholic League Championship. John Curtis beat Rummel 7-6 on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 7th....heartbreaker. Game was stopped for 20 minutes or so because some fans got into a fight....not a classy look by both bases. Was intense though. Hope we see Curtis in the playoffs,
