Curtis/Rummel Notable

NOTABLE

  • This is the last district series for both teams.
  • Entering this matchup, both teams were in the top 5 in the power ratings.
  • Tuesday’s win makes Wednesday’s rematch a big one, as the Raiders can force a tie at the top. If Rummel wins and Holy Cross is able to beat St. Augustine, the Raiders, Tigers and Curtis would share the title.

West Monroe takes game 1 of the 3 game series 18 - 2  at 2nd place ASH  and moves to 30 - 2.  More importantly the game gives the Rebs the district title and secures a spot in the playoffs  :D  2 more games to go against the Trojans, a double-header at West Monroe tomorrow...

last 2 games of the regular season today, double-header at 4 and 7 against 2nd place Alexandria Senior.  Hopefully the Rebs don't have a let down after beating ASH 18 - 2 yesterday and winning the District crown and securing their playoff spot.  Pic from the Rebs Senior Night

Curtis wins NOLA Catholic League Championship.

John Curtis beat Rummel 7-6 on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 7th....heartbreaker.

Game was stopped for 20 minutes or so because some fans got into a fight....not a classy look by both bases.

Was intense though. Hope we see Curtis in the playoffs,
