The Colonel Posted October 8, 2019 Report Share Posted October 8, 2019 I just learned of this tradition at U of Iowa games. They built a children’s hospital facing the football stadium. At the end of the first quarter, all in the stadium are asked to turn around and wave to the children and wish them well. Very cool. I now have more respect for my neighbor down the street that puts up a Hawkeyes flag on Saturdays! I would like to hear of other football traditions around the country that empower those that need our support and strength.
